Organising your material in Kete
You can choose how to organise your material in KeteStep 1 : What do you have?
Clippings
Oral Histories
Diaries
Interviews
Events
Videos or Audio
Memories (in your head or written) / Step by Step :
1. Login to Kete
2. Either click on Add Item at top of page or Click Create under Related Topics and choose a Topic Type from the drop down “Add a” menu to add to an existing topic.
3. Enter Title, Description, Tags and then Upload File
4. Enter remaining fields and click the Create button
Step 2. What do you want to share with the Rotorua Kete community
Decide who from your club is going to do the inputting of data, one person is best and can be the archivist, secretary or president.
Do you want your own ‘Basket’ or page for your club?
Who will be your Contact person? Your club may only want a mailing address on your page.
Can what you have be organised into groups of similar subjects?, if so each group or subject can become a Topic in Kete. Upcoming events e.g. District Sports Days like Te Arawa Games organised by Te Papa Takaro, Event Photos, Membership Photos, Club History…
Step 3. Keep all your digital files together in one folder on a Memory Stick, CD or Club Computer
