EASY STEPS FOR ELECTRONIC ENTRIES – FIRST TIME USER – FLYING ANGELS MARCH CLASSIC
Step A – Loading Team Manager Lite
1. Download the Team Manager Lite programme, free of charge, at www.hy-tekltd.com.
2. Once opened, click on download center on the bottom half under Quick Links.
3. Scroll down to track and field and find Team Manager 4.0 inside a rectangular box. Click on the word Lite to the right and voilà.
4. The following questions may be asked:
? Do you want to run or save…? Answer: Run.
? The publisher could not be verified…? Answer: Run
5. When you come to your next choice, press Next.
6. In the license agreement box, switch from the choice I do not accept to I accept, then press Next.
7. Press Next again.
8. In the small screen that says launch program, it is already checked off, so just press Finish.
9. In the Select Language box, English should already be highlighted so just press OK.
10. The Main Page will show Athletes, press OK in the middle box.
11. On the top blue line, it will say No Database Open.
Step B – Add your Team
1. Go to File on the Menu Bar, scroll down to Open/New.
2. In the bottom of the small screen, beside File Name, My Team will be highlighted in blue, leave as is
and press Open.
3. In the System Preferences box, do the following:
- under Gender Designations, check Male/Female,
- under Athlete Browser Options, only Show Birth Date and Last Name First should
be checked off, uncheck everything else,
- now go to Age Grouping and check Age Divisions,
- leave everything else the same .
- press OK.
4. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, click on Teams.
5. At the top of the big grey screen, click on Add.
6. In the Team Maintenance box, do the following:
- under Team Information, beside Team Code, fill in your 2 to 4 letter code, check the last page for your team code at the end of these instructions.
- under Team Information, beside Team Name, type in your team name.
- no more information is needed for now, but feel free to fill in the rest of this box.
7. Press OK, a new Team Maintenance screen will appear, just press Cancel.
8. Your team name will now appear at the top of the grey area.
9. Go back to the Main Page by clicking the small x in the top right corner inside the grey area.
Step C – Add your Athletes
1. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, click on Athletes.
2. At the top of the big grey screen, click on Add.
3. In the Athlete Information box, you only have to fill in 5 items:
- Last Name
- First Name
- Gender: type in M or F
- Birth date: fill in DD/MM/YY
- under Member of, on the right hand side, beside Team, scroll down once to your team code; make sure it appears in black
- for now, please do not fill in anything else
- press OK.
4. A new Athlete Information box will appear for your next athlete.
5. When you have entered all your athletes, press Cancel and your list will appear.
6. If you accidentally press Cancel before you finish listing, go back to step C-2.
7. Go back to the Main Page by clicking the small x in the top right corner inside the grey area.
Step D – Add the Meet
1. Save the file titled tfmm2014-03-22-MeetEvents-… in My Documents.
It is listed under the technical package on the AO website.
2. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, click on File.
3. Scroll down to Import then to the right of it, scroll down to Meet Events.
4. In the larger Import Events box (top left corner), beside Look in: scroll down to My Documents.
5. Click on the zippered folder that starts tfmm2014-03-22-MeetEvents-… then press Open.
This is the file you saved in step D-1. If it is not in ‘My Documents’, go back and save it again.
This file does not open; it must be imported into the programme
6. In the TFTM box, press OK.
7. In the larger Import Events box, click on tfmm2014-03-22-MeetEvents-… then press Open.
8. In the smaller Import Events box, press OK.
9. In the very small TFTM box, press OK.
10. You are back to the Main Page.

Step E – Meet Entries
1. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, click on Meets; the meet should now be highlighted in blue.
2. On the grey Menu Bar above the team name, click on Entries.
3. There are 2 ways to enter, Entries by name or Entry by event. To make it easier on both of us,
please use Entries by name for Individual entries.

4. Under Entries on the grey Menu Bar, scroll down to Entries by name.
Then, press OK if smaller box appears; it sometimes does not.
5. In the row that starts with a picture of binoculars, beside Entries for team, scroll down once and
click on your team, it should now show in black.
6. In the bottom half of the grey screen, you will now see all events available by gender.
7. Please note that the letter under the Div column represents the age division.
I.e. for Gen F, event #18 is 60m for open women; for Gen M, event #61 is 1200m for bantam boys.
8. Click on an athlete you wish to enter into one of those events.
9. Find the event. Under Custom Mark not Best Mark, enter the athlete’s seed performance. Please note that for seeds, you must always enter to the 100th of a second, or the millimetre.
For example, for the 400m, if you wish to enter a time of 1:05.42 just type 10542 then press Enter.
For a jump of 5.24m, just type 524, then press Enter.
Do not enter the punctuation marks.
If you do not have a seed performance, just check the box under Entered.
10. When you have finished entering an athlete, scroll down and click on the next athlete and
repeat Step E-9.
11. Upon completion, go back to the Main Page by clicking 2 small x in a row in the top right corner inside the grey area.
Step F – Confirmation of entries
1. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, click on Reports.
2. Scroll down to Meet Reports; then, to the right scroll down to Meet Entries.
3. In the Meet Entries box, do the following:
- under Filters, beside Team, scroll down to your team name, click on it;
- under Event Filters, check Individual and Relays instead of just Individual;
- under Sort By, you decide either Meet Event Number or Name;
- leave everything else the same.
4. Press Create Report at the bottom right et voilà. Print a copy, if you wish.
5. Return to the Main Page.
Step G – Sending me your entries
1. Congratulations; you are almost done. I hope you are still smiling. Just remember that this will be much easier to do next time.
2. On the Menu Bar at the top of the main page, under File, scroll down to Export.
3. To the right, click on the first item listed Meet Entries.
4. In the Export Entries box, just press on OK but remember where you are saving it.
5. In the TFTM box, press OK.
6. In the Export Entries box, now press cancel instead of ok.
7. You may now exit Team Manager Lite.
8. When you are emailing me your entries, go find the file you saved in Step G-4 and attach it to your
message. The file looks like a folder with a zipper on it with CODE (your team code) -Entries001 beside it.
