Aims:As part of the fundraising team, creatively deliver a strategy to raise TrinityWinchester’s profile and maximise fundraising potentialaccording to the 2013/16 Income Strategy.

Hours:(Full/Part time). There will be times when more than this is required to get the job done.

Pay Scale:Pay scale 29-34 (£25,896-£30,087) pro rata

Responsibilities:

  1. Take the lead role in Charitable Trust and Grant applications (target £150,000 2016-17) from new sources of income and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential new supporters.
  2. Be responsible for researching, identifying and maintaining a database of funding opportunities, manage relationships with Charitable Trusts and major donors, investigate and source high net-worth individuals, and possible legacies.
  3. Manage a portfolio of small, medium and large grant-making Trusts and Foundations to maximise income for the work of Trinity.
  4. Develop compelling and clear messaging for all applications, tailored to each potential funder, and ensure excellent communications at all times.
  5. Develop a team of fundraising volunteers who will assist research income potential, including Charitable Trusts.
  6. Monitor performance against targets, taking curative action if necessary to ensure achievement of target. Provide monthly reports to Operations Director and Treasurer.
  7. Work with the Operations Director to identify new statutory funding opportunities and associated grants, including Lottery funding. Maintain strong relationships with Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council.
  8. Enthusiastically and passionately represent Trinity Winchester at meetingswith members of the public, external organisations and businesses, by developing a sound understanding of the charity’s mission statement and core values.
