Accessibility Plan and Policy

Our 2014 – 21 Accessibility Plan outlines the policies and actions that Gamma Sales will put into place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

Gamma Sales is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Gamma Sales is committed to providing our customers and potential clients with publicly available emergency information in an accessible way upon request. We will also provide disabled employees with individualized emergency response information when required.

Gamma Sales will provide up to date training information to all employees on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on human rights codes as they relate to people with disabilities. Training and policy will be provided during orientation of all new employees and training of all current employees will be completed by no later than January 1st 2015. Gamma Sales will take the following steps to insure compliance

  • Company policy review for all staff
  • Company will continue to comply with new legislation and training thereof, as new information becomes available.

Gamma Sales is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. We will consult with our employees and customers to determine their individual needs.

Gamma Sales will continue to evolve our website for full conformity with WCAG 2.0 AA and take the following steps to ensure compliance

  • Semi-annual meetings between management and IT regarding WCAG 2.0 A, AA and AAA
  • Education and training with relation to website accessibility.

Gamma Sales will also take the following steps to ensure existing feedback processes are available for customers and staff with disabilities.

  • Provide customer satisfaction surveys for customers at pickup counter and reception.
  • Provide customer satisfaction surveys for customers on our website
  • Provide immediate customer service through a live chat via (9am-5pm Monday to Friday), excluding holidays.
  • Provide Lines of communication for employees to voice accessibility concerns with management.

Gamma Sales will ensure all publicly available information including WHMIS documentation can be accessed upon request by June 1st 2015 via English customer service (855-830-3810) , French customer service(855-830-38110 or online at

Gamma Sales policy is to accommodate all staff returning to work with a disability providing the disability does not impede their ability to perform the tasks required. If the employee cannot perform required tasks the position will be evaluated and the employee may be given other opportunity elsewhere within the company.

In the event of an emergency evacuation of our building the following is a list of precautionary measures set up to ensure successful evacuation of all employees including employees with physical disabilities.

  • Employees with physical limitations will be escorted safely out of the building by a designated co-worker.
  • Employees with a hearing disability will be escorted safely out of the building by a designated co-worker.
  • All employees working in the area where the disabled employee is working will be informed of the disability and trained on how to help in the event of an emergency.

Gamma Sales has identified some accessibility barriers and will take the following steps to remove these barriers.

  • Pick up counter door is not wheel chair accessible however there is a door buzzer located outside the pickup door for individuals requiring assistance.
  • Lack of wheelchair parking in our parking lots will be addressed, signage will be purchased and installed no later than January 31 2015
  • Wheelchair ramp at reception is to be kept clear at all times.

In the event of an accessibility service disruption temporary signage will be posted and other means of compliance will be in place on a temporary basis.
