ACCEPTING AN ASSIGNMENT AND ENTERING A LONG FORM ASSESSMENT ONLINE

A Step-by-Step Guide

Starting this year, all assessments MUST be entered online on www.massref.net in order for your assignment to be complete and MSRC can process payment for the assessment.

Below, you will find a series of steps that will guide you through the process of accepting an assignment entering your long form assessment online.

1.  Visit www.massref.net and log into your account by entering your username as password. Click on the “Help” link in the login box if you have forgotten your username/password combination.

2.  After you log in, click on the “Assessor” tab in order to see your assignments. Your assignments will show under the “Invitations” header, and you will have to either ACCEPT or DECLINE your assignment.

3.  Once you ACCEPT your assignment, the game will appear under the “Active/Pending Assignments” header on the same page. Click on the “Click to Create/Edit an Assessment” link in order to access the page with the long form.

4.  Next, review the game information for accuracy and ENTER THE SCORE. Then hit the “Save Game Changes” button.

5.  Next, on the same page, you need to assign the Assistant Referees for the match. You do this by clicking on the “Assign” button under the AR1 header. After you click on “Assign” a new section called “Add Official to Referee Team” will appear at the bottom of the page where you will be able to search for the Assistant Referees and Fourth Official. You need to enter any one field on this form and click on the “Search” Button.

6.  Next, you will receive your search results on the same page along with links that are associated with your options what position on the crew this person can be assigned to. Click on the Appropriate position (Assistant1, Assistant2, Fourth Off). Follow Steps 5 and 6 until your crew is complete.

7.  The default choice is the short form. You will need to change this to the long form, if you are doing a long form assessment. To change the form to LONG, click the “Click here to change to long form” link under Other Options.

8.  If your change is successful, the big button will show you to “Create/Edit a Long Form Assessment for these officials. You need to click on this button in order to bring up the long form for editing.

9.  The top of the form will look like the picture below. The rest of the form itself is very similar to the paper form that you have seen at the assessor clinic. There are several options available to you with this form and are self-explanatory. It is highly recommended to save the form periodically as it can take you a significant amount of time to fill this form out completely.

10.  Enter all your evaluations and comments into the form, and review them for accuracy and completeness, then hit “Save Assessment” button.

11.

A)  If you have finished entering all of your data, you need to release this assessment to the SDA. There are two options to do this. First option is to do it right from the form by clicking “Save and Release”. If you choose this option, your assessment will be saved and released to the SDA. YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY MORE OPPORTUNITY TO EDIT THE ASSESSMENT AFTER YOU CLICK ON THIS BUTTON, SO BE SURE YOU’RE FINISHED.

OR

B)  EITHER DO PART A or PART B. The second option to release the assessment to the SDA is: Once you have saved your assessment, you can click on the “Game Tools” button, which will bring you back to the game tools screen. You can then click on the “Release Game To SDA” button in order to submit this report to the SDA.

ONCE THE ASSESSMENT IS RELEASED TO THE SDA, IT WILL BE REVIEWED AND YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE PROCESSED.

NOTE: If you, for some reason, need to leave the report half way filled out and would like to return to it at a later time, then make sure to hit the “Save Assessment button. You can return to the Long Form assessment by logging into the website, clicking on the Assessor tab and following Step 3.
