Abstract: These instructions give you basic guidelines for preparing papers for the MAVEBA Workshop Proceedings. Papers up to 4 pages should be submitted using this format.

The deadline for final full paper submission is: May 20, 2015.

The paper must be saved in .pdf format (preferably use a Adobe Acrobat version later than 4.0). It must be an “open” document, i.e. editable under any platform (PC and MAC) and saved including all fonts. Be sure that it is not protected by any password. Abstract should not exceed 200 words. Include up to 5 keywords.

I. INTRODUCTION

The following instruction are the basic guidelines for preparing manuscript for the MAVEBA Workshop. You are kindly requested to follow these instructions. It will help us in preparing materials for printing and it should guarantee a uniformity among different papers in the proceedings. The papers should be submitted in their final form. The publisher will perform no further adjustments.

II. METHODOS

Paper Size: Select A4 for the custom size of paper, i.e. 21 x 29.7 cm (8.27 x 11.69 in). Only this paper size can be accepted.

Length: The maximum document size is four pages. Abstracts only will not be published.

Format: Set top margin to 26 mm, left and right margin to 22 mm, bottom margin to 40 mm. The column width is 80 mm and the space between the two columns must be set to 8 mm. Paragraph indentation is 3.5 mm.

Single line spacing

Type sizes and typefaces: In editing your manuscript please use 14 point Times New Roman bold, capital letters for the title, 12 point Times New Roman (normal) for author names and 10 point Times New Roman for the abstract and keywords (bold), main text, author's affiliations, equations, figure and table.

Miscellaneous: Left and right-justify your columns. The lengths of the two columns should be the same on the last page of your paper.

Do not number pages.

The section headings used herein are for reference only and should be adapted to the content of the Workshop.

III. RESULTS

A. Figures and Tables

Only black-and-white figures should be included. Figure captions should be below the figures; table captions should be above the tables. Use the abbreviation “Fig. 1,” even at the beginning of a sentence.

Use clear labels in Figure axis, using words rather than symbols. Put units in parentheses, but do not label axes only with units.

B. References

References should be referred by numerals in square brackets [1] in the text. Use style [1] for papers and style [2] for books or book chapters [3]. Only items published or accepted for publication may be cited in the reference list.

IV. Discussion

Define abbreviations and acronyms the first time they are used in the text. Do not use abbreviations in the title.

Number equations consecutively. Center the equation in the Column and put the equation number in parentheses on the right margin, as in (1).

a + b = c (1)

Be sure that the symbols in your equation have been defined.

V. Conclusion

Système International (SI) units must be used.
