About Mary Tyler Moore and S. Robert Levine, M.D.

Mary Tyler Moore tirelessly committed herself to helping the millions with T1D. She served as JDRF’s International Chairman for over 30 years, and her highly visible public service campaigns helped to strengthen JDRF’s research and advocacy efforts. She and her husband, Dr. S. Robert Levinehave contributed generously to JDRF, initiating such programs as JDRF’s Stem Cell Research Fund. A leading JDRF volunteer, Dr. Levine has served on the International Board of Directors, Research Committee, Executive Committee, and as Chairman of the Board committees for Clinical Affairs, Government Relations Marketing and Communications, and IT. Dr. Levine is currently a JDRF Chancellor.
