ABBOTT INSTUMENTATION

OWNERSHIP OF EQUIPMENT

Title to equipment provided under this contract shall remain with Abbott Laboratories. All accessories (unused consumables, etc.) furnished by Abbott Laboratories shall accompany the equipment when returned to Abbott Laboratories.

REMOVAL OF EQUIPMENT

Abbott Laboratories, upon expiration of order(s), replacement of equipment, or termination will remove equipment. Abbott Laboratories will disconnect the instrumentation, and will be responsible for all packing and shipping required to remove all instrumentation within thirty (30) calendar days.

MAINTENANCE

Abbott Laboratories shall provide maintenance (labor and parts) to keep the equipment in good operating condition and subject to security regulations; the Government shall provide Abbott Laboratories access to the equipment.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Abbott Laboratories will provide regular, scheduled maintenance to assure the continued reliable operation of the equipment. These preventive maintenance visits shall be of a frequency that conforms to the manufacturer’s operation and maintenance instructions for the supported equipment. However, if scheduled maintenance service for commercial customers exceeds the manufacturer’s operation and maintenance instructions, the same shall be provided to the Government for the same model of clinical laboratory equipment
