Introduction to MOST
The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) is a governmental agency that is responsible for the formulation and implementation of national science and technology R&D plans. One of its important missions is to strengthen international cooperation in science and technology with other countries, especially with developing countries. Since 1989, international technical training workshop/courses on various subjects have been conducted in China every year under the auspices of MOST as a part of its international scientific and technical cooperation programs.
The3rdSession of the Workshop on Fully Mechanized Coal Mining Technology, sponsored by Department of International Cooperation of MOST, organized by China Coal Overseas Development Co. Ltd. (CODCO), will be held in Beijing, China in September, 2014.
Brief of ChinaCoal & CODCO
China National Coal Group Corp. (ChinaCoal), is one of the key state-owned enterprises under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Its core businesses comprise: coal production and trade, coal chemical, coal-bed methane exploration, pit-mouth power generation, coal mine construction, coal mining equipment manufacturing and relevant engineering technical services. By end of 2012, ChinaCoal has 51 subsidiaries of wholly-owned, holding or equally shared and 4 overseas offices. ChinaCoal accumulated its total assets to RMB 208.8 billion yuan, and has 106,000 registered employees in total.
China Coal Overseas Development Co., Ltd. (CODCO) is responsible for export of products made by the coal mining machinery manufacturers under CME as well as import and export of other mechanical and electrical equipment. CODCO has also been engaged in design and construction of mine and gallery, equipment installation, technical consultation, service and training for overseas projects. CODCO has exported quite a number of complete sets of fully mechanized longwall coal mining equipment to India, Turkey as well as Russia and other countries. CODCO has completed two large shaft sinking projects in Morocco and Turkey.
Workshop Description
l. Objectives
The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
1) Introduction to development of coal mining technology in China and mining equipment manufacture as well as the achievements obtained in recent years;
2) Spreading and promoting the availability and reliability of Chinese coal mining equipment;
3) Carrying on multilateral technical cooperation and international exchange on coal mining technology and advanced equipment.

Course Program
1. Introduction to the development of Chinese coal industry and the achievements obtained in coal mining technology and equipment research and manufacturing
2. Chinese coal mining technologiesof one cutting height, top coal caving andtop coal caving mining,etc.
3. Rational selection offully mechanized coal mining equipment at different condition, etc.
4. Visit to coal mines both on surface and underground and visit to coal mining equipment manufacturers concerned in China
Qualification
Applicants should：
l. have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and be at age under 45 or under 50 for especial case;
2. have a minimum of 5 years’working experiences in coal mining industry;
3. be capable of speaking and writing in English;
4. be in good health.
Application
l. Applicants should complete the enclosed application form with signature and return back to the organizer before June 10, 2014.
2.The second circular will be sent to the participants with a formal invitation and tentative schedule of the workshop.
3. Submit a paper to be presented in the workshop.
4. Submit a health certificate.
Call for Papers or Cooperation Projects
Any participants are expected to present a paper in the following categories：
- Current status and development of coal industry of his/her own country
- Requirement on coal mining technology and equipment
- Intention of cooperation between China and his/her country
Expenses
l. International travel expenses will be borne by the participants themselves (round trip tickets between his/her home country and BeijingCapitalAirport or Beijing Railway Station).
2. Registration fee is not necessary.
3. Chinese government will cover the expenditure of accommodation, local transportation and training expenses during the workshop in China for the participants from developing countries. However, participants are advised to have some pocket money for personal purpose such as distance call or daily necessities and so on.
4. The expenses for necessary insurances other than life insurance during the workshop in China will be borne by the participants themselves.
5. The participants should bear his/her medical fee by himself/herself during the workshop in China.
Certificate
Participants who have completed study successfully in the training workshop will be awarded a certificate issued by the Department of International Cooperation of MOST.

由科技部国际合作司主办和中国煤炭海外开发有限公司承办的第三期煤炭工业综合机械化采煤技术国际培训班将于2014年9月在北京举行。

中国中煤能源集团有限公司是国务院国资委管理的大型能源企业，主营业务包括煤炭生产及贸易、煤化工、坑口发电、煤矿建设、煤机制造、煤层气开发，以及相关工程技术服务。截至2012年底，中煤集团共有全资公司、控股和均股子公司51户，境外机构4户，资产总额2088亿元，在册职工10.6万人。
中国煤炭海外开发有限公司负责煤矿采掘设备以及其它机电设备的进出口业务，从事海外井巷工程设计、施工、设备安装、技术咨询、服务及培训。公司已向印度、土耳其、俄罗斯等国出口了多套长壁综采设备。公司已在摩洛哥和土耳其完成了两个大型立井工程。

1)介绍中国采煤技术、中国煤机的发展，以及近年来所取得的成就；
2)宣传推广中国煤矿设备的可靠性和实用性；
3)进一步开展采煤技术和先进装备方面的多边国际合作和互动

参训资格
申请人应：
l.具有学士学位或相等，年龄在45岁以下，特殊情况放宽到50岁以下；
2.具有至少在煤炭工业工作5年的经历；
3.能用英语交流和写作；
4.身体健康。
培训申请
l.申请人应填写所附申请表并签名，于2014年6月10日前返回给承办方。
2.承办方向参训人员发送正式邀请和培训初步行程时间表。
3.参训人员应提交1份论文，准备在培训期间陈述。
4.参训人员应提交1份健康证明。
征集论文或合作项目
请参训人员提交1份论文，内容可涉及以下方面：
-贵国煤炭工业现状及发展
-对采煤技术和设备的需求
-与中国合作的意向
费用
l.参训人员差旅费自己承担（他/她本国至北京首都机场或北京火车站的往返票）。
2.不需要注册费。
3.中国政府支付发展中国家参训人员在华培训期间的住宿、当地交通、培训和意外伤害保险费用。但是，建议参训人员自备一些零用钱个人花销，如长途电话或日用品等费用。
4.在华培训期间除人生意外险外的其它必要保险费由参训人员自己承担。
5.参训人员应自行承担自己在华培训期间发生的医药费。
证书
科技部国际合作司将为成功地完成培训学习的参训人员颁发结业证书。
注意事项
1.健康证明必须是经授权医生或医院出具的有效的证明。
2.培训申请表回执截止日期为2014年6月10日。
