  • All Members will be briefed prior to first session on acceptable footwear and clothing
  • Any Members not wearing acceptable clothing or footwear will not be allowed to participate until they are wearing the correct items

  1. Ensure that there is access to fresh water.
  2. At start during briefing members are reminded to keep hydrated
  3. Take regular breaks and ensure everyone drinks
  4. If activity is outside ensure that the relevant sun protection is used and appropriate clothing is worn for the climate

  • Members must make sure they either bring water or bring a bottle to fill up before the session
  • When training outdoors a high SPF (50+) sun cream is to carried with the first aid kit for use by members

  1. Assure all players and coaches participate in the warm up prior to the start of the session.

  • Captains and coaches will have a warm up included as part of the session plan
  • All members must take part – late comers will be expected to also complete a warm up under the supervision session leader
  • Any member who refuses to take part in a warm up will not be allowed to take part in the main session

Setting up and putting away Trampolines / Hands and Feet potentially crushed / Members /
  1. Footwear must be warn when handling the equipment to set up or put away
  2. Only LJMU trained staff will handle the trampolines and perform routine maintenance

  • No members are to handle the equipment without training and express permission from LiverpoolSU and LJMU sports staff

Wearing jewellery whilst on the bed / Can be ripped out of skin/ off body if caught on bed / Members /
  1. No members will be permitted to wear any jewellery on the bed under no circumstances

  • A briefing is to be held at the start of every session asking members to remove any jewellery. Those who refuse will not be permitted to take part in any activity

Falling off the trampoline / Breaks, sprains, head, neck and spinal / Members /
  1. Set up crash mats and judo mats all around the trampolines
  2. Set up end decks on the ends appropriately
  3. Spotters to always be present in all areas to reduce falling risk

Code of practice /
  • Ensure mats placed all around the trampolines including mats on end decks to ensure if a fall occurs minimal injury will occur
  • Where there are no end decks at least 2 spotters will cover a vacant side
  • Ensure the move attempted has been cleared by the coach first to ensure the participant is not endangering themselves or others
  • If insufficient numbers attend to be able to spot the trampoline the session will be cancelled
