6 Sep 16 / Visit to Newcastle University / Blyth / Newcastle University has invited the Shipwrights to visit the School of Marine Science and Technology’s new facility at Blyth in the afternoon of Tue 6 Sep 16. Details will follow once received.
6 Sep 16 / Newcastle Dinner / Trinity House Broad Chare, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3DQ / Open to Liverymen & Freemen & Guests - 1900 for 1930. Dress is Black Tie and the Dinner is open to Liverymen and Freemen with a guest. The cost is £85.00 per ticket.
Please book via the website. The Closing date for tickets is Fri 26 Aug 16.
7 Sep 16 / QSM Visit / Kielder Water / Open to Wardens, E&C and any Shipwrights who attend the Newcastle Dinner. Depart Trinity House Newcastle at 0830, return to Newcastle station by 1600 latest.

Change of Date! / Shipwrights’ Reception / National Maritime Museum / Shipwrights’ viewing of Lady Hamilton Exhibition. Open to all Shipwrights and their guests – Details to follow.

APPMPG Meeting. Please find attached a copy of the remarks made by Guy Platten, Liveryman and Chief Executive of the UK Chamber of Shipping, about the impact of Brexit on the UK Maritime cluster at the most recent APPMPG Meeting.

Newcastle Visit. As indicated above, the Newcastle Dinner will take place at Trinity House, Broad Chare, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3DQ on Tue 6 Sep 16 but will be preceded by a visit to Blyth where Newcastle University has invited the Shipwrights to visit the School of Marine Science and Technology’s new facility. Details will follow once received but places may be limited so please let me know if you would like to be added to the list. Similarly, if you wish to join the E&C visit to the QSM Competition at Kielder the following day, Wed 7 Sep 16, please let me know.
