Principal Update

Ms. Sasse welcomed parentsin attendance then discussed and reviewed 2015-2016SIPupdates. We implemented learning goals and scales by providing professional development for our PLE faculty. We are using learning goals and performance scales with a focus on math. Title I funds have not been released yet. Morning meetings will begin the week of 9/28 for our lower school students. Each grade level is implementing an additional 30minuteDaily Dose to provide focused strategies as needed to meet individual needs. This includes LLI purchased through our SSOS program funding. As soon as title one funding rolls out we will implement additional programs. Initial FSA results released so far show our school performed at the top of the SSOS schools.A request was placed for the school board & local engineering department to do a traffic study. Ms. Sasse is following up with the director and will implement their recommendation.

Accountability money

We would like to put some of our accountability money for a remediation and enrichment staff person, extra services, for students. SAC has agreed vote.

-Presented our goal and focus for SIP plan to better improve teacher’s understanding of unwrapping standards when preparing learning goals for students. Rubrics will better provide feedback for students and teachers. Rubrics would not necessarily be for every lesson.

Parent feedback: how does it get implemented and managed once goals and rubrics are in place, to continue this concern in discussion.
