RESOLUTION NO. 2013-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF TRINITY SITTING AS THE
TRINITY COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
AMENDING THE
TRINITY COUNTY REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
FOR THE 2012 STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The following Resolution is now offered and read:
WHEREAS, the Trinity County Transportation Commission (TCTC) is the Regional Transportation Planning Agency for the Trinity County region; and
WHEREAS,on December 6, 2011, the TCTC adopted Resolution No. 2011-076(T), programming the 2012 RTIP as identified in the Exhibitattached thereto; and
WHEREAS, the 2012 RTIP was amended by the TCTC on March 12, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the 2012 RTIP included programming of $6,379,000, including $647,000 in Transportation Enhancement (TE) funds, for construction of the East Connector Project and $287,000 in State match funds for construction of Hayfork Creek Bridge in Wildwood in 2013/14; and
WHEREAS,additional funds are needed for both projects: $1,082,000 for Phase 1 of the East Connector and $203,000 for the Hayfork Creek Bridge; and
WHEREAS, the 2012 RTIP included $500,000 for design of the Wildwood Road Rehabilitation Project, $15,000 for design of the Lewiston Road Rehabilitation Project, and $770,000 in TE funds for construction of the Lowden Park to Senior Center Bicycle/Pedestrian Trail Project; and
WHEREAS,the new Federal Transportation Bill “MAP 21” calls for elimination of the TE program, requiring the County to request conversion of all TE shares into State Highway Account shares; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDEREDthat the Trinity County Transportation Commission does hereby request conversion of $647,000 of TE funds to State Highway Account funds for construction of Phase 1 of the East Connector; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the TCTC will allow $500,000 in design (PS&E) funds for Wildwood Road Rehabilitation Project to lapse and reprogram$297,000 to construction of Phase 1 of the East Connector and $203,000 for construction of Hayfork Creek Bridge on Wildwood Road; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the TCTC will allow $15,000 of PS&E funds for Lewiston Road Rehabilitation Project to lapse and reprogram it to construction of Phase 1 of the East Connector; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the TCTC will allow $770,000 in TE funds for construction of the Lowden Park to Senior Center Bicycle/Pedestrian Lane to lapse, request conversion of the funds to State Highway Account funds and reprogram them to construction of Phase 1 of the East Connector
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Transportation of Trinity County and/or the Executive Secretary of the Trinity County Transportation Commission is authorized to sign all documents necessary to request this change at a meeting of the California Transportation Commission.
