WHEREAS, in 1976, Governor Julian Carroll appointed Allie Morgan to the Kentucky Educational Television Authority, where he faithfully served with distinction for over twelve years as chairman and member of the board, as well as serving on many committees connected to KET; he has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, and because of his unwavering dedication and the many contributions and accomplishments he has made to his community, in 1995, Paducah honored him by renaming its 911 emergency telecommunications center "The Allie Morgan Communication Center;" and

WHEREAS, Allie Morgan was a devoted husband for fifty-three years to his loving and caring wife, Lois, who traversed these earthly bounds on June 7, 1998; their love knew no boundaries, and her passing has left a void in the lives of her family; Allie Morgan is the loving father of Phillip Morgan, Betty Hall, and Nancy Howe; and the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Anthony Morgan, Angela Thomas, Christopher Morgan, Stephanie Thomas, and Amanda Hall;
