A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of James "Jim" Walter Sparrow.

WHEREAS, James "Jim" Walter Sparrow traversed these earthly bounds on March 25, 2014, at the age of 70. Mr. Sparrow proudly served his country with honor and dignity as a member of the National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Sparrow worked for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and he was the proud owner of his own insurance agency; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Sparrow was an active member of his community. He was president of the Kentucky Jaycees and a member of Middletown Christian Church; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Sparrow leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory, including his wife, Barbara Prewitt Sparrow; his daughter, Alison Meyer and her husband, Russell; his sister, Rosa Cook and her husband, Joe; his grandchildren, Fred Allen Meyer and Edie Meyer; his niece, Joey Trent; his nephew, Eric Cook and his wife, Tanya; and many special cousins; and

WHEREAS, the members of this honorable body were saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Sparrow. May all those who mourn him find solace in the knowledge that he has gone to join his Heavenly Father;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and community of James "Jim" Walter Sparrow.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of James "Jim" Walter Sparrow.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit five copies of this Resolution to Alison Meyer, 106 Lone Oak Drive, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
