A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Frank Lynn Yeast.

WHEREAS, Frank Lynn Yeast was born the youngest child of the late Dan and Mattie Patterson Yeast on December 4, 1927, and traversed these earthly bounds for his Heavenly Home on February 27, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Yeast served the United States Army in the Military Police as a motorcycle officer in Trieste, Italy, during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Yeast moved to Frankfort, Kentucky, after his military service, met the love of his life, Janice, in January 1953, and married her in August of that year; and

WHEREAS, after working in the Kawneer factory and for his brother, "Tasty," in the Palm Meat Shop, Mr. Yeast worked for 30 years as a cable repairman for South Central Bell, which he fondly referred to as, "Ma Ding-A-Ling"; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Yeast was a master craftsman and enjoyed repairing and creating things such as go-carts and unicycles; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Yeast was a life member of Hiram Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a former member of Crestwood Baptist Church, and a current member of First Baptist Church at the Singing Bridge; and

WHEREAS, along with his parents, Mr. Yeast was preceded in death by his sisters, Roslyn ("Hick") Cammack and Myrtie D. (Hillary) Sanders; and his brothers, David Yeast, D.G. "Tasty" Yeast, and Minor B. Yeast; and

WHEREAS, along with his wife, Janice, Mr. Yeast is survived by his daughter, Marty (Bill) May; and his grandchildren, Zackary, Kathryn, David, and Charles;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate expresses its deep sense of sorrow upon the passing of Frank Lynn Yeast, and extends to his family, friends, and community its sincerest condolences.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Frank Lynn Yeast.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Janice Yeast, 1204 Hopi Trail, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
