A RESOLUTION Adjourning the House of Representatives in Honor and Loving Memory of Martha

A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor and loving memory of Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch.

WHEREAS, Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch was a daughter of the Commonwealth, having been born in Louisa on March 20, 1928, the cherished daughter of the late Rosaline Utter and Roy L. Taylor; and

WHEREAS, Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch was a proud graduate of Augusta High School and the University of Louisville. A Daughter of the American Revolution, she was a member of the Augusta VFW Post 9535 Ladies Auxiliary and a 60-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She served on the board of the Knoedler Memorial Library, on the board of directors of the Bracken County Health Department, and was the founding director and first vice chairperson of Comprehend, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch retired as a medical lab technician for the Denham Medical Clinic in Maysville after 32 years of dutiful service. She was a valued member of the Augusta Christian Church, where she had played piano since the age of 10; and

WHEREAS, on December 30, 2013, Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch entered into eternal rest, leaving her family, friends, and an entire community in solemn mourning; and

WHEREAS, Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Maureen Hopkins Collie. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul E. Kelsch; her sons, Tay Kelsch and his wife, Laurie, and Steve Kelsch and his wife, Peggy; her daughters, Paula King and her husband, Vic, Maria Kay Kelsch, and Angie Carr and her husband, Jim; her brother, Art Taylor and his wife, Jackie; her sister, Margaret Rose and her husband, Earl; her grandchildren, Danny Tanner, Kathryn Rayne, Mary Rose Kelsch, Paul Kelsch, Amy Miller, Todd Kelsch, LeAnn Myrick, Ashley King, Andrew King, Ethan King, Mariah Carr, Kelsey Carr, Haley Carr, and Grant Carr; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Taylor Kelsch will forever be remembered as a source of unconditional love, leaving behind a lasting legacy of meritorious leadership, boundless faith, and indelible grace;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The members of the House of Representatives, both individually and collectively, express their most profound and sincere condolences upon the passing of Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch, and extend their heartfelt sympathy to her family in this time of loss.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory, honor, and appreciation of the life and legacy of Martha Ann Taylor Kelsch.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit six copies of this Resolution to Mr. Paul E. Kelsch, 308 Seminary Avenue, Augusta, Kentucky 41002.
