A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor and loving memory of Larry Wayne Taylor.

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor was a son of this Commonwealth, having been born in Berea on May 22, 1951, the cherished son of Roberta Adams Taylor and the late E.J. Taylor; and

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor was Brodhead Assistant Mayor, a City Commissioner, and Chief of the Brodhead Volunteer Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor served his community as a member of the Brodhead Volunteer Fire Department for more than 40 years. He also tirelessly gave of his talents as a businessman as President of R&E Trucking, and was affiliated with Taylor's Produce for more than three decades; and

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor was of the Protestant faith. A NASCAR enthusiast, he enjoyed Chevrolet cars, Peterbilt trucks, and University of Kentucky basketball; and

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor departed this earthly life and entered the kingdom of heaven on February 13, 2014, leaving his family, friends, and the entire community of Brodhead, which he so diligently served and protected, in solemn mourning; and

WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Taylor was preceded in death by an infant daughter and his father-in-law, Bill Gentry. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ann Gentry Taylor; his son, Benjamin Joseph Taylor and his wife, Kachina Lee; his mother, Roberta Adams Taylor; his brother, Harold Lee Taylor; his sisters, Sherry Gail Asher and Patty Ann Kirby and her husband, Ricky; his uncle, Bobby Lee Taylor and his wife, June; his aunt, Betty Wilson; his mother-in-law, Jean Gentry; his brother-in-law, Gary Gentry; his aunt-in-law, "Teet" Stevens and her husband, Don; fifteen nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Winnie and Leonard;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The members of the House of Representatives hereby express their most profound and sincere condolences upon the passing of Larry Wayne Taylor, and extend their heartfelt sympathy to his family in this time of loss.

âSection 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Larry Wayne Taylor.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Representative Jonathan Shell for delivery.
