A Portfolio for Exam Preparation

You have an important task this year. You will not only be completing a valuable assignment towards your Learning Strategies credit, but you will also bepreparing for an exam in the best possible way!

1) Create a study portfoliofor your courses that have exams. Each section should include the following:

a)A title page outlying the subject under study

b)A table of contents organizing the portfolio into units

c)A calendar indicating your exam date, time & place of your exam, as well as a breakdown of when you will study in the weeks prior to your exam

d)Any exam review sheets/lists provided to you by your subject teacher, specifically for this exam

e)****Study notes that YOU make for each course unit(Point-Form, summaries, graphic organizers, etc) ****

f)Any key hand-outs from your course material that is not duplicated onto study notes (e.g. diagrams, charts, formulae, etc.)

g)Copies of past unit tests with the corrections made on them, so that you can use these to study

h)A personal reflection (one paragraph) indicating what you did differently from past test preparations, what worked best for you, as well as any other comments or insights.

Your portfolio must:

  • Be clear and easy to read and follow

  • Have dividers with titles for the various sections

  • Be contained in a binder

  • Be thorough and accurate

  • Be free of grammar and spelling errors (personal reflection only)

  • Due Friday, January 18
