A Message from Spectrum Association Management Regarding Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Harvey has greatly and negatively impacted thousands of Texas homeowners. As many of our HOAs are currently struggling with the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, we wanted to reach out and offer our best wishes for your well-being and the speedy recovery of your neighborhoods.
To help our communities prepare for this hurricane event, Spectrum AM encouraged that gates be locked open in communities and sent disaster preparedness guidelines to homeowners in anticipation of landfall August 25. On August 29, we sent vans full of relief supplies donated by Spectrum AM employees into Coastal Texas and met with those affected.
Several of our employees have also been affected by this natural disaster. Like so many of our customers, they too have lost everything, or their homes are currently uninhabitable, so please bear with us as we work to assign temporary positions to assist with your association’s efforts. Employees from our Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas divisions will be supporting those teams affected in Houston and Corpus Christi, so you may have a different contact person for your HOA temporarily. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Rest assured that Spectrum AMwill continue to support our communities throughout the extensive recovery process. Because many of our associations are currently in federal disaster areas, these associations will not be subject to late fees or escalation for the next 30 days. At the end of this time period, we will reevaluate these HOAs’ situations to determine if holds warrant further extension.
In addition to suspending delinquent assessment recovery efforts and deed-restriction enforcement actions in those communities affected, Spectrum AM will be deploying team members to assist with community clean up and repair efforts. Our teams will be dedicated to supporting your recovery efforts by working with trusted vendors and insurance carriers.
We hope for everyone’s continued safety while streets are still flooded and communities remain isolated. While this natural disaster is devastating, we at Spectrum AM stand together to assist those affected. Our thoughts remain with all those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
