A final Christmas newsletter to keep you up-to-date with all that is going on!

Firstly I want to say thank you to staff for their hard work making the Christmas productions so successful. The children performed brilliantly and the response from parents has been a sense of being very impressed.

Bag 2 School

The Bag 2 School collection weighed in at 800kg and a healthy £400 total. A fantastic result! A big thank you to everyone involved in posting the letters and envelopes, and collecting and dropping bags off to school. Thanks to everyone who brought filled bags in to school.

Kiddy Cook

Kiddy Cook has one more session this term. This is a great club that makes tasty food!Kiddy Cook is designed for children aged 2 - 11 years to encourage them to learn about "good food" and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way! If you want your child to take part in the club, please tell the school office by Monday 12th. The club needs at least 10 children to take place next term.

The Grinch on Saturday December 10th

Get in the mood for Christmas at the FREE showing of The Grinch on Saturday December 10th, 10am, at the Studio Theatre, Wymondham High School! This is a family event and children must be accompanied. Cheap refreshments are available! Book on at the cluster website The website also lists all the other exciting activities that are happening over the holidays including a CSI day at Barford and a reduced rate Premier Sport camp (only £5 a day!) at Spooner Row.

Understanding Your Child’s Behaviour - Tina Frary Parent Support Adviser

Would you like to learn more about your child’s development and understand about the ways children behave? We will be running a 10 week course on Thursday mornings at Newton Flotman Primary School. The course will start on 12th Jan 2012. The course is for parents and carers of primary school aged children, and will focus on development and behaviour. The course is free!If you are interested in finding out more please pick up a leaflet from the school office, or give Tina Frary a ring on 01953 423416 or 07595 221240

Christingle Service –Friday 16th December

On Friday 16thDecember at 2.00pm there is a Service at Wreningham All Saints Church to celebrate Christmas. All parents are welcome; however space is at a premium in the Church! The school will have a collection in the service. If children would like to bring some money in a purse to donate, the proceeds will go to the Children’s Society.

Bring ‘n’ Buy Sale - Organised by the School Council

The school council have organised a Bring ‘n’ Buy sale on Friday 3rd February in the afternoon. If you have any good quality toys and books after Christmas, please save them! The Children will have a chance to buy toys in the Bring ‘n’ Buy Sale. All toys will be 50p or less.

Christmas Parties

A reminder the Key Stage 2 party is Monday December 12th. The children should be picked up as usual after the school then return for the Christmas party at 4.30. It finishes at 6.00 PM.

The Class 1 and 2 Christmas party is Thursday 15th from 1.30. The children can bring party clothes,in a named bag, to change into at lunchtime.

Please note the children return Wednesday 4th January

Finally…This Autumn has been packed with many activities – we hope the children have had a happy and productive term. Listed are just some of the highlights: The School Council visited the Mayor of Wymondham; Class 3 had a brilliant residential to Holt Hall; The Harvest Festival; The Early Years outdoor area opened by the Bishop of Thetford; The Christmas Fayre; The School Choir started and sounds great!; Class 3 visited theWest Stow Anglo-Saxon village;Anti-Bullying Week; Dressing in spots for Children In Need!; Class 2 went toKS1 Multi-skills competition at Wymondham; National Poetry Day and The Garlic Theatre Company in school performing‘Little Red Robin Hood’ – the children loved this!;ECO Council have done many activities in school; The excellent Christmas Productions; There were other events, many of which are celebrated on our school website.
