A.BROAD PURPOSE OF JOB:

Lead teams across the Directorate in delivering a HR and organisational development service that adds value to the Company by providing support and advice to enable Napp to be an inspiring place to workincluding developing the culture of the company in line with its vision and strategy. In addition, guide and manage the overall provision of a comprehensive HRserviceto ensure legislative compliance and support the achievement of operational objectives. Finally, contribute to the success of Napp Pharmaceuticals Ltd via effective membership of the Company Leadership Team.

B:SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide an advisory service to everyone with respect to all Company HR Policies and procedures to ensure appropriate application of policy. Guide managers in order to raise their knowledge and understanding of Company HR Policies and Procedures, including proactively identifying opportunities to support and coach managers.

Manage Directorate budgets in conjunction with the Finance Department.Take a lead in salary, bonus and promotion discussions with managers and ensure that increases are in line both with budget and the Company Reward strategy.

Assist individuals in identifying career development opportunities, and encourage a succession planning approach to vacancy management. Liaise with IAC HR teams to identify cross-functional opportunities. Support line managers in the career coaching of their teams.

Develop and update Company HR Policies and Procedures for approval so that they conform to legislation and remain relevant to the needs of the Company, including proactively identifying when this is required and ensuring the communication of changes to employees as appropriate. Take responsibility as a member of the Cambridge Site HR Group for sharing policy development work with other HR teams within the Group.

Attend the Compliance Committee and follow up with appropriate action when potential compliance breaches are identified.

Be a Company nominated member of the Company Consultation Forum (CCF) ensuring that the CCF is utilised appropriately and is compliant with its Constitution.

Ensure the whole HR team remains up to date with employment law developments and where appropriate, ensure that policies, procedures and Company documentation are amended in light of changes as they occur. Provide coaching and training to the business on said developments, as appropriate.

Understand through formal and informal feedback the factors behind staff turnover and recruitment offer declines, and identify actions to be taken to enable Napp to recruit and retain the right people.

Accountable for the provision of an effective and timely recruitment process that ensures vacancies are filled by appropriately experienced and qualified individuals. This includes identifying talent for potential future vacancies and providing alternative attraction and selection methods for challenging vacancies.

Ensure an appropriate and informative on boarding process and seek feedback to inform how Company, departmental and job specific induction can be improved to enable quick integration into the Company and realisation of potential.

Provide OD expertise across the Company to inform cultural and structural decision-making. Support and / or facilitate projects that impact on the achievement of cultural and Company strategies.

Provide expertise, support, advice and guidance to the Leadership Team on Organisational and Management Development needs and initiatives and work with them in identifying and co-ordinating the strategic organisational development strategy to ensure that the Company is evolving in line with its commercial and cultural needs.

Drive the continuing cultural development across the Company, identifying and adapting strategies and actions as appropriate.

Ensure that all in the Directorate are skilled and updated to enable them to provide a professional and prompt response to all enquiries, including providingand maintaining accurate documentation and records.

Identify appropriate external networks and contacts, and utilise these to the benefit of Napp and its people.

Take a proactive role within the Company to ensure that everyone understands the role and service available from the Directorate. Ensure all in the team understand how to create an environment that enables personal growth and contribution in line with our values.

Recruit where required and in line with succession planning to ensure that the Directorate has the talent and skills required to fulfil its strategic and tactical priorities. Develop and manage the Directorate to ensure that they carry out the requirements of their roles and are developed to fulfil their potential, including ensuring the Directorate Management Team contribute as strategic managers across the Company.

Contribute fully and effectively to the Leadership Team, including advising on personal and team development as well as fully contributing to commercial decision making.

Provide information and insight to support decision making, including ensuring that people decisions are culturally aligned. This includes ensuring that the computerised HR records system is fully utilised in order to provide management information.

Support the strategic and tactical planning process within the company. Lead the Directorate indeveloping departmental strategies, tactics and critical success factors, ensuring alignment with and driving of central strategyand Company culture and aims. Ensure that teams are structured and resourced in accordance with the needs of the Company and its aims. Through effective working relationships with Leadership Team colleagues, enable full collaboration in all Departmental Strategic and Tactical development, resulting in understanding and effective implementation.

Support Managers in the delivery of a qualitative, on-going PDR process, and liaise with Training & Development colleagues to ensure that individual training needs are met and become involved in projects and training delivery, as appropriate.

Support the Director of HR, Europe through the co-ordination of a HR service within Independent Associated Companies that delivers on European HR strategies and business imperatives.
