The roles of judges, juries, attorneys, and citizens within the US legal system

Student Objectives (Competencies/Outcomes):
Students will be able to: Identify the role of the US Constitution in our daily lives
Evaluate laws and values
Identify kinds of legal responsibilities
Analyze the impact of legislatures, lobbying, agencies, courts, and the Supreme Court on various legal issues
Compare and contrast ways of settling disputes outside of court
Compare and contrast the adversary system with the inquisitonal system
Identify the roles of judges and juries
Evaluate the roles of lawyers within the US legal system
