Materials Needed:

·  Name badges http://www.dltk-kids.com/type/name_tags.htm

·  High frequency words to insert in badge

Description:

Students will be exposed to high frequency words through the use of name badges.

Step-by-Step:

1. Give each child a name badge with a high frequency word displayed.

2. To review high frequency words, each child will wear a new name for the day.

3. Everyone will call that child their new name throughout the day.

4. You can use these to review any skills cross curricular.

Assessment Activity Title: WHAT’S YOUR NAME?
Description of Activity:
1.  Each child will be given a badge with a high frequency word.
2.  The class must call that student their new name by reading the high frequency word the student is wearing.
Assignment Extensions:
Any skill can be reviewed through the use of a name badge.
