Michael Parodi Biography

Michael Parodi Graduated from California State University, Sacramento in May 1990 with a Bachelor of Science dgree.in Business Administration. He also received a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from the University Of Southern California in 1993.

He served both as an enlisted member on active duty in the United States Air Force, and as an officer in the United States Army for a total of 29 years. During the last 14 years of service he was a member of the Army Acquisition Corps. His first assignment in the Army was as the platoon leader of telecommunication units responsible for the phone service and long haul communication assets covering 4500 square miles in central Germany. He then assumed command of the 17th Data Processing Unit in Wiesbaden, Germany from 1993 to 1995. He provided support as the Communications and Electronics Officer for the 21st TACOM forward in Hungary and Croatia supporting Operation Joint Endeavor. After completing the Signal Officer Advanced Course at Fort Gordon, he assumed command of a recruiting company in Gilroy, California from 1997 to 1999.

He spent the next 14 years as an Acquisition Corps Officer. He served as a Training Development Officer at the Army Training Support Center at Fort Eustis and the Combat Developer Coordinator with the C4ISR Directorate at Fort Monroe, Virginia from 1999-2003. After graduating from the resident course of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth in 2004, he reported to Fort Monmouth New Jersey and took over as the Assistant Product Manager for PM Defense Message System –Tactical. He was responsible for fielding atactical message system to signal units located from Germany to Korea. From 2006 to 2007, heserved as the Test and Evaluation Officer for the Future Combat System Network Services Integration organization.

He returned to Fort Monroe in 2007 to take over as the Deputy Division Chief for Plans, Policies and Programs of the Architecture Management Directorate. In 2009, he was assigned as the Army Capabilities Integration Center liaison to the Multi-National Corps (I Corps) at Victory Base, Iraq. He returned from Iraq to become the Product Manager for Meteorological and Target IdentificationCapabilitiesat Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland in July 2010. He retired from the Army in October 2014.

He came to work for CACI as a program manager in December 2014. He is currently manages a 60 person team that provides system and software engineering support, software product assessments, system reengineering, technology insertion, software architecture, prototype development, system acquisition, software maintenance and sustainment, system testing, system integration and information assurance supportto the Software Engineering Center at APG.

His military Awards include the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), The Army Commendation Medal (3 Awards), the Army Achievement Medal (5 Awards), the Air Force Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal (2 Awards) the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, the Parachutist Badge and the NATO medal.
