We are starting Chapter 13! Our test will be Monday, March 27th.
Chapter 13 Math Skills
o To find the perimeter of a figure
o To explore the area of a figure
o To find the area of rectangles and squares
o To relate area to perimeter
The students will continue to take measurement quizzes as well as timed multiplication quizzes.
Reminders to Students
ü Study your math journal and facts every night.
ü Study your Science Vocabulary Words.
ü Homework is NOT optional!
Reminders to Parents
§ Please be sure that your child is not only doing his/her homework; but also are also studying their Math & Science Journals nightly as well as their measurement conversions.
§ Please make sure your child is STUDYING!
§ If your child is absent, please send a doctor’s note or the parent note, which can be found on the school’s website, when he/she returns to school. This must be received within 2 days.
§ We are in desperate need of pencils! If you are able, please send a pack of Ticonderoga pencils to school with your child!
Ø The student will determine the causes and effects of forces on motion.
v We will continue to work on our reading comprehension skills in Science.
v This week’s Science Vocabulary Words are on the back of this sheet. We will have a Science Vocabulary Quiz on Friday, March 24th.
