RAFFLE REPORT: August meeting’s raffle brought in $219 plus an additional $173 in the donation jar for a grand total of $392 for the JBT Project. Thank you to everyone who donates items for the raffle and who put money in the donation jar & of course those that just donate! Truly appreciated!

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Safety Committee – Beginning January 1, 2015: For all open wheel/body cars where rear wings are permitted the wing may be fully mounted to the roll cage or frame structure only via plates and/or short brackets; maximum 6-inches center-to-center between the upper (wing tab) and lower (roll cage tab) bolts. Tube type or extended wing stands are prohibited when mounting wings to any components of the driver’s compartment of any SFI specification roll cage. Go to the safety section of the web site www.juggersracingteam.com and look for rule amendments for the details. Remember, the ultimate authority on any of this is the NHRA and your local sanctioning body. Any questions that remain should be addressed directly to them for the final word. If you have any safety questions you can contact John Lewis at . John will always have the rule book at the monthly meeting.

Website Committee – The main picture on the Juggers Facebook page was changed to show all the members who attended last year’s picnic. The race report, safety section and several other areas of the web site have been updated. Tom Finale has agreed to take over the pictures sections of the web site soon. We need to refresh the main picture on the web site. If you have an idea on a picture, please let John know. If you have any questions or would like to add anything (including videos) to the Juggers website, you can contact John @ . www.juggersracingteam.com

Historian Committee – The video quality of the DVD copies of Bob Risso’s VHS tapes is so poor that we will not be posting them on the web site. The window decals came in for those that ordered one. If you have any old pictures, articles, papers or other information regarding the Juggers Racing Team, please contact Sandy so she can arrange to scan the items and get them back to you as quickly as possible! Picnic Committee –Steve O’Brien is heading up the committee again this year. We have reserved Huddart Park for the picnic on October 4th, Mark your calendar now! $4 entry fee per vehicle at the gate. No pets allowed. It’s too late to order shirts, but we will take reservations for the picnic until the close of the September meeting. So fill out the registration form and bring your $10 per person to the meeting. We will have ordered a few extra shirts that will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Car Show Committee – Discussed the upcoming 3rd annual Juggers car show at Gotelli’s Speed Shop and encouraged everyone to come out on September 6.

JBT Committee – JBT work parties are normally held at Wayn Phillips house on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and now every Thursday as well (when we don’t have a monthly meeting). The JBT account is currently at $1,725.00. We are hoping to be able to race in October or November at El Mirage. Bob Risso donated a Halon Bottle, and Roy Liautaud donated $50 to the JBT car. Thanks Bob and Roy! Needed: Tires – Goodyear Front Runners 22 x 4.5 x 15, 9,000 or 10,000 RPM Tack; Timing cover for a small block chevy-for a fuel pump drive. JUGGERS RACE REPORT- Sacramento Governor’s Cup Race 9/13 results in the 105 Heat:

In D Gas, Dan Ficher is runner-up; Jack Nilson went to the Semi’s. They both lost to the eventual D Gas winner. Harold Binsfeld was low qualifier.

Caught Spectating: Boyd Schauer, Phil Vargas, Steve O’Brien and Rocky Finale.

As a result of his qualifying and round wins at the Governor’s Cup, Jack Nilson is D Gas Champion for the third time! Way to go Three Time!

Dan Ficher is runner up in D Gas! Congratulations Dan.
