Donna Peeples brings more than 20 years of energy and related industry experience to the AGL Resources team. A master at uncovering a customer’s underlying business needs and determining what communications can do about them, Peeples has worked for Atlanta Gas Light, Optimum Energy Sources, Peachtree Natural Gas, Shell Energy, and Lennox Industries. Peeples founded Motivated, Inc. a contract sales and sales training company in 1996.

Leading the marketing, communications and sales and new business development units for AGL Resources, Peeples oversees a comprehensive and integrated market strategy encompassing all customer segments and touch points in all utility franchises. She also guides launch and introduction of marquee brands into new markets. She coordinates brand and product development, strategic growth and the overarching communications strategy. Peeples’ focus is on blending business strategy with creativity – touching the heart and moving the mind – resulting in true paradigm shifts, sustainable change and the achievement of overall business objectives.

Throughout her career, Peeples has worked to define business objectives and articulate the corporate vision throughout the organization. She serves in key roles and is a frequent speaker at industry associations and events such as the American Gas Association, Advertising and Marketing Committee, and the American Public Gas Association. Recent career highpoints for Peeples include Southern Gas Association’s Marketing Best Practices Awards in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 a 2006 Show South Ady Award, a 2007 MarComm Gold Award, a 2006, 2008 and 2009 Telly Award and a 2009 AMY from the American Marketing Association. She also oversaw advertising campaigns that were honored with a 2006 and 2007 Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Peeples earned a degree in Marketing from Troy University and is the Chairman of the Board for the Council for Responsible Energy and serves on the Board of the Southeastern Energy Efficiency Alliance, NGV America, Energy Solutions Center, the Clean Air Campaign and UtiliPRO Services. She is also active in Habitat for Humanity and the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
