Reminder: All 2nd Nine Weeks Palmetto’s Finest students get in FREE to all home C-Team Basketball Games
· Palmetto Middle Chorus Concert is TONIGHT at Palmetto High School.
· December 11th is the next Student Council Meeting
· December 22nd- January 6th Christmas Break
· Students return to school on January 7th
· Thursday, January 17th is the end of the 2nd nine weeks.
· Thursday, January 17th Palmetto’s Finest Hours are due.
· Monday, January 21st- M.L. King Jr. Holiday- students do not report to school.

The Gateway to Technology classes are working on a class fundraiser this year. The students are selling horseshoe Christmas tree ornaments. Some of you have already graciously bought one from them. If you would like to purchase one, they are $3 each. They come in a variety of colors. Please see a GTT student for an order form to fill out your choice of colors.

Palmetto Mustang Bands will have their Christmas Concert at Palmetto High starting at 7:00. Call time for middle students is 6:00 at the high band room. Students should wear all black.

Student Council will be sponsoring a drive for area women’s shelters… the following items will be collected in homeroom until Dec. 14:
· Shampoo
· Conditioner
· Writing tablet/journal
· Pens
· Highlighters
· Nail file
· Nail clippers
· Toothpaste
· Toothbrush
· Body wash
· Loofah (to go along with body wash)
· Lotion
If there are families willing to buy a book stamps to go into the packets, the women there write a lot of their family members.

Palmetto’s Finest Cards get you in free to all
C-Team HOME football games and front of the lunch line EVERYDAY!
Palmetto’s Finest Qualifications for the 2nd Nine Weeks

questions.
To earn Palmetto's Finest you must meet the following
criteria:
1) All grades 80's and above
2) No demerits for the nine week period
3) No more than 2 unexcused absences.
4) Complete community service hours
10 hours of service are required for the first quarter. Students simply
record the hours they volunteer, the service they provided, and have the
supervisor sign and record their phone number.
Guidelines for hours
1. Ten hours of community service is required each nine weeks.
2. No more than four (4) hours of service can be directly related to any
family member.
3. Completed service hours are due to your Homeroom teacher
on the last day of the quarter. A minimum of ten hours of
community service is required for each quarter of school.
