A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Norris Glenn "Pup" Robertson.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Norris Glenn "Pup" Robertson, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Norris Glenn Robertson was born on February 7, 1932, a native of Christian County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on September 10, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Norris Glenn Robertson was the loving son of Flora Mae Robertson and the late Clyde Headley Robertson; and he also was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce Marie Whitaker Robertson; he was the loving father of a son, Major Glenn Robertson of Belvedere, New Jersey, and six daughters, Denise Robertson Hall of Milton, Robin Robertson Stamner of Owensboro, Ginger Lu Robertson of Elwood, Indiana, and Candy Lynn Robertson, Hedy Robertson Price, and Brenda Lee Anderson, all of Hopkinsville; he was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren; and he also leaves behind a brother, Raymond Robertson of Aurora; and four sisters, Jean Ann Wilkinson of Clarksville, Tennessee; Martha Rose Robertson of Atlanta, Georgia; Bettie Sue DeCesare of Clearwater, Florida; and Merry Louise Knight of Hopkinsville; and

WHEREAS, Norris Glenn Robertson served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Norris Glenn Robertson was an esteemed member of the Christian County community, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church; he was best known as a developer of affordable housing in Hopkinsville and Christian County, and he was recognized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for his design of a stable but low cost flooring design; he was a founder and served as president of the Hopkinsville Home Builders Association; in 2000, he was inducted into the Home Builders Association of Kentucky Hall of Fame; he was a life director of the national home builders organization and he was the recipient of the Martin Conrad Memorial Award Builder of the Year; and he built and helped establish the school for exceptional children in Christian County; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Norris Glenn "Pup" Robertson has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Norris Glenn "Pup" Robertson, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Norris Glenn "Pup" Robertson.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to Robin Robertson-Stamner, 4913 Curdsville-Delaware Road, Owensboro 42301 and to Hedy Price, 3695 Memory Lane, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240.
