A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Lawrence Ray Maynard.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Lawrence Ray Maynard.
WHEREAS, Lawrence Ray Maynard, a native of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, traversed these earthly bounds on Sunday, September 16, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Lawrence Ray Maynard was the devoted husband of Carol Dean Smith Maynard, who preceded him in death; he was the loving father of two sons, Lance Reagan Maynard, who preceded him in death, and Lawrence Ray Maynard II, and three daughters, Leah Renay Allison, Sidney Rae Maynard Thomas, and Carla Gail Hall; and he was the proud grandfather of Jennifer Lea Maynard, Cherish Elizabeth Maynard, Meagan Nicole Maynard, Lance Reagan Lawrence, Tabatha Renay Allison, Riki Chyenne Allison, Wyatt Cody Allison, Skye Maynard Harris, Sterling Dean Thomas, Sammy DeWayne Hall, Jr., and Melissa J. Hall; and
WHEREAS, Lawrence Ray Maynard was an esteemed member of the Jefferson County community where he attended St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church and he was the owner of Pedigreed Auto Sales; he served as state representative from the 39th representative district from 1972 to 1982, and during that time, he served on the Cities Committee, Business and Occupation Committee and the State Government Committee; and he was a member of the Louisville Central Democratic Club; and
WHEREAS, all who knew and admired Lawrence Ray Maynard will grieve over their loss, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Lawrence Ray Maynard, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Lawrence Ray Maynard.
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Ms. Renay Allison, 8204 Routt Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40299.
