A: CYCLING & HIKING TOUR IN ANHUI
DAY 1 ARR SHANGHAI
Arrive in Shanghai. Be greeted & transferred to hotel.
SS: the Bund, Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden and Nanjing Road.
DAY 2 SHANGHAI/TUNXI(HUANGSHAN CITY)
Fly to Tunxi and transfer to hotel. Take a stroll along the old commercial street—Song Street, where all the shops are kept the same style as that in the Song Dynasty. Pay a visit to the old Hui Ink Stick Factory nearby.
DAY 3 TUNXI-SHEXIAN COUNTY-TUNXI
Cycle to Shexian County (27km) to visit its old town and its famous Seven Memorial Archways, which were erected in the Ming & Qing dynasties reflecting loyalty, filial piety, virtue and comradeship. Cycle along the Xin’an River through a picturesque landscape of traditional houses, old bridges, tea bushes and green mountains.
DAY 4 TUNXI-YIXIAN COUNTY
Yixian county is called Shiwaitaoyuan—a heaven of peace, where hundreds of old Hui-style houses built in the Ming & Qing dynasties are very well preserved, characterized by white-washed walls, black-tiles, horse-head gable and beautiful carvings. You’ll be impressed by these by cycling to visit one or two villages there.
DAY 5 YIXIAN COUNTY/MT.HUANGSHAN
Continue to explore the old villages, either cycling or walking. Cycle to the mountain (70km) in the afternoon and stay at halfway hotel.
DAY 6 MT.HUANGSHAN
Drive to the Yungu Tram Station nearby. Take the tram or hike up to the top. Walk to Xihai Hotel and stay overnight there. Hike to explore this beautiful mountain. You can reach almost every peak since there are chiseled stone steps leading everywhere.
DAY 7 MT.HUANGSHAN/MT.JIUHUA
Take the tram at Danxia Peak Tram Station near Xihai Hotel down the mountain and transfer to Mt.Jiuhua. You can cycle for a while on the way.
DAY8-9 MT.JIUHUA
Walk to visit temples in the basin area around Jiuhua Street, such as Huacheng Temple, Qiyuan Temple, Buddha’s Relic Hall, and Baisui Palace. On the second day, hiking to the highest peak—the Heavenly Terrace for a visit.
DAY10 MT.JIUHUA-HEFEI
Drive to Hefei—the capital city of Anhui Province (240km). During the journey, cycling can be done at your reference. City tour followed.
DAY11 HEFEI/BEIJING
Fly to Beijing and transfer hotel.
DAY12 BEIJING—
Breakfast at hotel. Be sent to the airport for departure.

After a city tour in Beijing, drive to Datong in the afternoon.

Drive to Mt.Wutai. Visit the Hanging Temple on the way, which was carved on a sheer cliff.

Mt.Wutai is the sacred place where Wenshu—the Budhisattva of Wisdom performs the Buddhist rites. SS: Dailuoding, Pusading, Yuantong Temple, White Dogoba Temple, etc.
DAY 6 MT.WUTAI-TAIYUAN
Drive to Taiyuan & visit Jin Shrine.
DAY 7 TAIYUAN/CHENGDU
Fly to Chengdu & tour Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage, Wuhou Shrine and Bamboo Park.
DAY8 CHENGDU-MT.EMEI
Drive to Mt.Emei to visit this sacred place of Puxian—the Budhisattva of Universal Benevolence. En route, make a stop at Leshan Mt.to see the biggest sitting Buddha in the world. SS in Emei includes the Golden Summit.
DAY9 MT.EMEI-CHENGDU
Drive back to Chengdu.
DAY10 CHENGDU/HEFEI
Fly to Hefei & visit Temple & Tomb of Lord Bao.
DAY11 HEFEI-MT.JIUHUA
Drive to Mt.Jiuhua & transfer to hotel.
DAY12 MT.JIUHUA
Mt.Jiuhua is the sacred place for Dizang Kistigarbha—the Gurdian of Earth.
SS: Baisui Temple, Buddha’s Relic Hall, Huacheng Temple, etc.
DAY13 MT.JIUHUA-NINGBO
Drive back to Ningbo.
DAY14 NINGBO/ MT.PUTUO
Morning visit the Tiantong Temple & Ayuwang Temple. Aftre lunch take the boat to Putuo Island.
DAY15 MT.PUTUO
Mt.Putuo is the sacred place for the Goddess of Mercy.
SS: Fayu Temple, Puji Temple, etc.nsfer to Holiday-inn Plaza.
DAY16 MT.PUTUO/SHANGHAI
Take the hydrofoil back to Shanghai. Drive through the Pudong New Zone to hotel

Mt.Wutai is traditionally the sacred place of the Budhisattva of Wisdom. Many temples are very well preserved, such as the Dailuoding, Pusading, Yuantong Temple, White Dogaba, etc. Drive to Taiyuan after sightseeing.
DAY 9 TAIYUAN-PINGYAO-TAIYUAN
Take a day-excursion to the old town of Pingyao—a prosperous commercial center in China during the Ming & Qing dynasties, which is famous for its draft bank, the earliest banking institution in China opened by Shanxi merchants. And their beautiful houses are still kept intact until now. pay a visit to Qiao’s Mansion and the ancient City Wall.
DAY10 TAIYUAN/ZHENGZHOU
Fly to Zhengzhou and SS Yellow River Scenic Area.
DAY11 ZHENZHOU/KAIFENG/ZHENZHOU
Day excursion to Kaifeng and visit Xiangguosi Monastery, Iron Pagoda, and Dragon Pavilion.
