Re: On-site Car Rentals - Des Moines Corporate Campus

As an added benefit and convenience for our home office business travelers, Enterprise Rent-A-Car provides on-site car delivery and pick up at our corporate campus.

Enterprise will deliver rental cars to our business travelers on an as needed basis. On-site rentals should be reserved through Concur, our online booking tool. For all Corporate Campus deliveries, please select the 217 E. Locust Street location and indicate in the notes section of Concur that you would like the car delivered to our Corporate Campus in Des Moines. If you are not able to use Concur, please call a Travel and Transport counselor at (888) 774-8785 during normal business hours, M-F 7:30-5:30 Central Standard Time. You will be asked to provide the traveler driver's license number and expiration date as well as the applicable Emerald Club number (if you have one) at the time the reservation is made.

Rental car parking spots are clearly marked with Enterprise signage and renters will be advised of the location when the reservation is made.

If the renter has corporate parking privileges, personal autos may be left in their usual corporate ramp assignment or flat lot, but they may not be parked in the spots designated for Enterprise cars.

Renters are personally responsible for contacting Enterprise immediately upon return. Charges do not cease until Enterprise is notified that the car is ready to be picked up. After-hour calls will be recorded with a time stamp and charges will cease at that time. Car keys should be returned promptly to Corporate 2 Security including after hours and weekends.

Offering on-site car rentals is an extension of the preferred agreement we have with Enterprise locally. It draws on the signature service that differentiates Enterprise from other car rental agencies. Utilizing this service is not only convenient for our home office travelers, but it also provides a cost-savings to the company through our existing negotiated rates.

Q. Can I still pick up an Enterprise car at the location near my home?

A. Of course. The on-site service is merely an option being added for the convenience of the traveler.

Q. Can I change a reservation I'm currently holding to take advantage of the on-site service?

A. Yes. Just call Travel and Transport, (888) 774-8785 during normal business hours and they can make the change for you.

Q. Does on-site delivery require advance notice?

A. Yes, please provide 24 hours notice, otherwise there may be times when a particular car type is not available or staff is not available to handle the delivery. You will be advised at the time of the reservation if there is an issue with delivery.

Q. Will someone call me when the car has been delivered?

A. Yes. As with any package delivery, you will receive a phone call with instructions of where to pick up the Enterprise envelope containing car keys and the renter's copy of the rental agreement.

Q. Can anyone besides the renter pick up the keys and agreement?

A. No. For liability reasons, the renter must show his or her Principal I.D. to the security desk when picking up the Enterprise envelope.

Q. Can the Enterprise envelope be picked up after hours?

A. Yes. If you need to pick it up outside normal business hours, the envelope will be left at the Corporate 2 (Tower) Security, open 24/7, and 365 days a year.

Q. Does the car have to be picked up at and returned to the corporate campus?

A. No. The car can be picked up at any location and returned to any Enterprise location in Des Moines and the surrounding area, e.g., pick up at the Urbandale location, drop at the corporate campus.

Q. Can I park my personal car in one of the Enterprise spots until I return from my trip?

A. No. Personal cars may be left in your assigned company parking ramp or lot but not in the parking spots designated for Enterprise.

Q. Do I need to call Enterprise when I'm finished with the car?

A. Yes. If you are returning the car to the corporate campus, you must call Enterprise immediately to let them know you have returned the car to the designated parking area. Charges do not cease until you call Enterprise.

Q. Do I have to return the car full of gas?

A. No, but it is recommended that you do so as it is typically less expensive at the local gas station. The car will be full when you pick it up but you can return it at any level. Enterprise will charge market value for the gas by ¼ tank increments, e.g., if you return the car half-full, Enterprise will refuel at market price and charge for ½ tank of gas.

Q. Does it cost more for the on-site service?

A. No. Our rates are the same for all Des Moines and surrounding area locations.

Q. Can this service be used for personal travel?

A. No. The on-site service is for business use only.
