RESOLUTION NO. 17-11

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANDEVILLE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES ALLIGATOR EGG COLLECTION PERMIT FOR 2017; AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH

WHEREAS, the City of Mandeville is the property owner of a 1,318 acre tract which is more particularly described in the attached Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the City of Mandeville desires to allow the collection of 630 alligator eggs by Wall’s Gator Farm, on said property for the permit of 2017; and

WHEREAS, Wall’s Gator Farm shall strictly adhere to all pertinent statues and commission regulations governing the breeding, propagation and sale of alligators and is obliged to return to the wild live alligators within a designated size as outlined in the 2017 Alligator Egg Collection Permit attached hereto and made a part hereof.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mandeville hereby authorizes and empowers the Honorable Donald Villere, Mayor of the City to execute the attached Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Alligator Egg Collection Permit for 2017.

With the above Resolution having been properly introduced and duly seconded, the vote was as follows:

ABSTENTIONS: 0

and the Resolution was declared adopted this 13th day of April, 2017.
