TODAY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2014

· ATTENTION all 8th graders: The first payment and permission slip for the dinner dance is due one week from today - by February 13th. If you do not bring this in by that date, you will not be able to attend. Please bring your permissions slip and payment to the Main Office.

· All Homeroom Teachers: Please distribute your honor roll certificates in homeroom. The Honor Roll Breakfast is today during period 1, 2 and 3.

· The following are PE makeup days for 3rd marking period:

Tuesday, February 25th, Tuesday, March 11th, Tuesday, April 1st.

· The Bergenfield Environmental Committee is sponsoring an Environmental Awareness Contest for all Bergenfield students. Students may create posters or a media presentation to enter. All entries must be completed by March 5th. If you are interested, please see Mrs. LeManquais in room 129 for more information.

· Ms. Szeglin’s and Ms. LaPorta’s Get it Done group will be meeting today fifth period in the hospitality room. Participating students should have received a pass this morning in homeroom. Please report to group directly from fourth period.

· Drama Club will meet today in the Auditorium after school.

· There will be an Art Club meeting today after school in room 129.

· Mrs. Resitivo’s 7th grade Boys’ Friendship group is cancelled today.

· There will be a League of Representatives meeting today at 3:00 pm in room 133 to plan March Madness. All members should attend.

· There will be a yearbook staff meeting in room 33 at 3:00 pm today. Staff pictures will be taken for the yearbook so all members are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wallner.

· Bears Club will have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, February 12th in the auditorium to discuss and sign up for the Valentine’s Day Sale. New Members are always welcome!

· Valentine’s Day is Friday. Together the Yearbook Club and the Bears Club will be selling valentine goodies on Thursday and Friday during the lunch periods in the cafeteria. If you would like to pick up something special, now is your chance. Check out t he list of items posted in the cafeteria today. Supplies are limited so act fast! Any questions, please see Mrs. Wallner

· Bears Club will continue accepting new and used adult, teen and child jackets, hoodies, and sweaters. Blankets, hats, gloves and scarves are also needed. There is a donation bin in the main office. Thank you for all your help.

· A Reminder: The Breakfast Program is open every day at 7:30 am in the cafeteria. Please come in to enjoy a delicious breakfast and hot chocolate bar every morning. Each visit will entitle students to a raffle ticket which can be entered to win an iPod Shuffle each month and a color Nook in June.

· Homework Clinic will be open each morning Monday-Friday at 7:30 am and every afternoon from 3-4 after school in the Cybrary! Please stop by to: do your homework, finish an assignment, or take an Accelerated Reader test. See you there!
