Cosmetology II

Description

The Cosmetology program is a certified North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art licensed school. Students will gain experience and hours that are required to obtain their Cosmetology license.
Students will learn advanced theory and practical procedures of cosmetology. Cosmetology II students will work on patrons in a salon setting after they reach 300 hours and pass the 300 hour test.

Special requirements

Pre-requisite: Cosmetology I and completion of 300 class hours in Cosmetology 1

Student costs/Materials to be supplied by students

Cosmetology II: Manikin and class supplies Approximately $100
Optional class trips to cosmetology trade shows throughout the year
$30-75 per show
Artificial nail class $30-40 per kit

Other information

Jobs available to graduates of this course include hairstylist, colorist, nail technician, educator, platform artist, spa or salon owner, chemist in a product manufacturing company, and esthetician.
Students can earn approximately 300 hours each school year that can be used for post-high school completion of required 1500-hour cosmetology program.
A maximum enrollment of 20 is recommended.
