Terms of Use of the Computer Group Tablet 3/6/2014
The CG obtained the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablet to provide you with an opportunity to borrow the device and explore its features. We want you to try the different apps that are installed on it or install ones that particularly interest you, with the restrictions spelled out below.

The tablet is to be used only by members of the Computer Group. It should stay in the borrower's possession and not leave Oak Crest. If the tablet is on loan to another member, please ask Carol to put your name on the waiting list. The list is maintained on a first-listed-first-served basis. Carol will contact you when the tablet becomes available.
You may borrow the tablet for one Tuesday to Saturday period. On the following Monday, at our Business and Discussion meeting we would appreciate a report or a demonstration of your experience. In the absence of a report, we may request that you return the tablet so that we can examine particular functions at the meeting and for routine maintenance. If there is nobody else on the waiting list you may keep the device for one more Tuesday to Saturday period, after which we want it returned for maintenance. There is no limit on the number of requests.
The tablet, case and stylus are loaned together with the charger and cable that came with it. It can also be charged from a computer's USB port using a standard USB micro cable. Do not use anything else to charge the tablet. Exercise care in plugging in the charging cable.
For your own protection, you may not use the tablet for financial transactions involving bank accounts, investment accounts, credit cards or other payment services.
A wide variety of software is pre-installed. You may install other free software, but only if obtained from the Google or Samsung sites. You need to obtain prior approval and assistance from Carol Hagan (see above) to install apps from other sources.
If the tablet should get lost or damaged while on loan to you, you will be responsible for its repair or replacement. Do not use the password protection feature of the device. If you do so, and cannot recover the password, you will be responsible for replacing the instrument.
To borrow the tablet, you need to sign these Terms of Use indicating that you agree to follow them.
