Technology and the
Second Vice District Governor
Session Background
Technology has become a part of our everyday lives. As Lions, technology allows us to be a truly global association, giving us the ability to communicate and collaborate across continents and oceans, to share resources and streamline processes to make tasks easier and more efficient, and to train Lions worldwide with a few clicks of a mouse and an Internet connection.
Lions Clubs International utilizes technology and web-based resources in a variety of ways, and second vice district governors play an important role in the promotion of these tools and resources to the clubs and members within the district. The fulfillment of this role will increase task efficiency and accuracy of record keeping at the club level; allow clubs to be more self-sufficient; provide them with access to a multitude of resources and training materials as a means of increasing productivity, effectiveness, and organization; and enhance the ability of clubs to promote themselves within their communities.
