2.  Read Show Way.
Discuss, Construct Map Quilt (Discuss how illiterate people use symbols, words. Construct own quilt square based on choice of: own route to school, things in life that are important to the student; recreate symbols from story to explain. Describe quilt square through writing.
3.  Compare the two selections: Venn Diagram—fiction/non-fiction; women in the two selections
