The Student Questionnaire instrument provides student feedback to help teachers discern areas of effectiveness and areas to improve in their teaching. Please read over the Guide to Using Student Questionnaire Results before reading your feedback. Then, complete the following reflection and place it in your EIT portfolio, which you will send Patrick Ruff at the end of the year. Please also send a copy to Jeannie Quesada and your Department Chair by the end of 3rd quarter.

Reflecting upon the Data

4. In what areas did your students’ perception of your class match your own view? In which areas was there a difference? What might this tell you?

5. How does the information from the student questionnaires compare with feedback you have been given from classroom observers or from what you have seen from student achievement data (i.e., student performance on your assessments, final exams, and other standardized testing)? If there is a discrepancy, why is that the case?

6. How does the student feedback inform you about your progress on your goal for this year? With this student feedback in mind, what is one specific goal for your teaching that you might pursue during the rest of the semester and next year?
