Students’ Choice Restaurant Opens on UK Campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 28, 2005) − The University of Kentucky celebrates with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Chick-fil-AÒ restaurant at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Student Center Food Court.

“In a survey, our students’ number one choice for a new quick-service restaurant on campus was overwhelmingly Chick-fil-A,” said Jeff DeMoss, director of food services.

The restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be served with menu items including Chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwich, chargrilled chicken sandwich, nuggets, waffle potato fries, cole slaw, chicken garden salad, and lemonade.

“This opening on the University of Kentucky campus completes our presence at all SEC universities,” said Sean Warren of Chick-fil-A Inc. “Schools are attracted to Chick-fil-A because of our strong customer service and commitment to using the freshest ingredients possible.”

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A is the second-largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain with more than 1,225 restaurants in 38 states and Washington, D.C. The chain expects to open more than 75 restaurants this year including 15 licensed locations. Additional information about Chick-fil-A is available on the chain’s Web site, located at www.chick-fil-a.com and www.chick-fil-apressroom.com.
