STEIN MART POS TICKETING POLICY
Updated January 2010
Effective January 25, 2010
Stein Mart is pleased to introduce increased flexibility for vendors to pre-ticket Stein Mart merchandise.
CURRENT Avery’s Service Bureau: Vendor orders pre-printed tickets from Avery’s website for delivery to production or warehouse operation.
Ordering Process: Vendor must register with Avery before proceeding. The Avery Web Services Authorization Form is attached and can be found at https:\\vendors.steinmart.com under price tickets. Whenever Stein Mart transmits a bulk PO to the vendor, that information is immediately available to Avery, whereby the vendor can “call out” ticket orders the same day.
Note: Contact Avery directly if the ticket order needs to be expedited within the 3-5 day print window.
NEW Vendor Hang Tag with Stein Mart sticky ticket: If the vendor can provide a hang tag with both a legible UPC bar code AND a suggested retail price, the vendor has the option to print and apply an abbreviated, self-adhesive Stein Mart price ticket (ticket type VE).
Ordering Process: Vendor must gain approval from the buyer before proceeding. Once the vendor hang tag with a self-adhesive Stein Mart is approved, whenever a bulk PO is transmitted to the vendor, the ticket information is immediately made available to Avery, whereby the vendor can access the data elements and create the price ticket. The vendor can order the ticket stock directly from Avery or from another source, provided there is a match to the Avery format.
NEW Avery’s Turn-Key Solution: Vendor can print POS tickets in-house with Avery supplied data and ticket stock on Avery certified printers.
Ordering Process: Vendor must register with Avery before proceeding. The Avery In-Plant Printing Form is attached and can be found at https:\\vendors.steinmart.com under price tickets. Upon receipt of the form, Avery technicians will visit the vendor’s facility to perform an assessment and setup / confirm printing capabilities. Once in-house printing is established, whenever a bulk PO is transmitted to the vendor, the ticket information is immediately made available to Avery, whereby the vendor can down load the ticket to print on their local printers.
Note: Vendor must continue to use the Avery Service Bureau until in-plant ticket printing has been established.
NEW Mix & Match Solution: Vendor can print POS tickets in-house by acquiring ticket data, ticket stock, and/or printers from Avery or other ticket providers.
Note: Selection of this method transfers all risk of ticket quality from Avery to the Vendor.
Note: To ensure print quality, Stein Mart requires that each ticket type (i.e. Hang Tag or Mini Label) must be certified for format and barcode accuracy with Bar Code Graphics. The Bar Code Graphics POS Ticket Certification Form is attached and can be found at https:\\vendors.steinmart.com under price tickets.
Note: Vendor must continue to use the Avery Service Bureau until in-plant ticket printing has been certified by Bar Code Graphics. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days prior to shipping merchandise to Stein Mart.
Note: Vendor MUST be certified by Bar Code Graphics before they can begin in-plant printing using any of the below non-Avery components. Failure to gain approval may result in BRC assessments.
