TOPIC / DISCUSSION / ACTION
NEW BUSINESS / ·  Cindy inquired whether Holyoke Community College or Tufts University vet students would be able to assist with surgeries.
·  Cindy suggested doing monthly press releases to promote TJO and to thank donors and sponsors.
·  Barbara asked if each board member would approach their city IT departments about putting a TJO link on the city’s website.
·  Board members asked for all TJO job openings to be submitted to each city personnel department. / ·  Barbara responded that both Holyoke Community College and Becker College make regular field trips to TJO. Barbara would like to explore internship opportunities with HCC in order to have more students assisting the TJO veterinary staff.
·  There is currently a quarterly newsletter that is distributed by TJO. The TJO website also addresses these two groups. Other ideas for community awareness were offered by the board.
·  Board members agreed to do this.
·  Barbara agreed to do this. She stated that she consistently requests this action from the City of Springfield personnel department.
BUDGET / ·  Budget through October was submitted to the board. / ·  Some dollars are still on incorrect accounts/lineitems
