All Southwest Airlines value flights or scheduled air flights are only available when booked as part of a vacation package.

Q: What are the key selling benefits?

  3. Southwest Airlines scheduled air flights are available to book with vacation packages through Funjet Vacations’ travel agents.
  4. A LOT of origins and destinations with the Southwest Airlines feeder network in combination with the original origin routes – it is truly a nationwide product!
  5. When booked with a hotel, Southwest Airlines flights on Funjet Vacations ARE ONLY BOOKABLE BY TRAVEL AGENTS. The product is not available to consumers through Funjet Vacations – additional advantage to travel agents!

Q: Funjet Vacations currently sells value flights on Southwest Airlines. How does that work with the scheduled air flights?

A: Funjet Vacations offers both Southwest Airlines value flights and scheduled air (Published Fare) to the agent. When they are searching in VAX if there are value flights seats available they will see both options to book, if the value flight is sold out then only scheduled air will be available for the package. The price and policies are different between value flights and scheduled air.

Q: What markets offer Southwest Airlines value flights?

Q: What if an agent finds the Southwest Airlines scheduled air (Published Fare) on Funjet Vacations flight cheaper than the Southwest Airlines value flights on Funjet Vacations?

A: As long as it is the same non-stop flight, travel agents can submit a price match and it is a guaranteed match. Note: the agent receives the higher commission and client gets more flexible policies by booking the value flight. The Southwest Airlines value flights follow all the normal match policies including other scheduled airlines too, the 1-stops at +$80, but this is ONLY for the value flights.

Q: What if an agent finds the Southwest Vacations value flight is cheaper than the Funjet Vacations value flight. Can Funjet match?

A: No, it will be up to the agent to decide who to book the value flights with.

Q: Will Funjet Vacations match Southwest Vacations Southwest Airlines scheduled air (Published Fare) flight rates if they are lower on the package?

A: No, it will be up to the agent to decide who to book the scheduled air flights with.

Q: What commission does Funjet Vacations pay on Southwest Airlines value flights & Southwest Airlines scheduled air flights?

A: Funjet Vacations will pay regular value flight commission on Southwest Airlines value flights – up to 15% on the full vacation package price. Southwest Airlines scheduled flights will pay 0% on air and up to 15% on the land for International flights.

Q: Will bags fly free with Southwest Airlines?

A: YES! Each traveler is allowed up to two (2) checked pieces of baggage per ticket for both value flights and scheduled air flights, with some size and weight limitations. Southwest Airlines only charges for overweight and excess items. You will need to refer to Southwest Airlines for up to date information at http://www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/baggage/index-pol.html

Q: Can EarlyBird Check-In® be purchased?

A: Yes! For scheduled air flights that confirmation number (PNR) will be generated right at time of booking. However the value flight confirmation number (PNR) will be added to the reservation within 7 days of payment being applied.

Purchase it by visiting www.southwest.com/flight/early-bird-retrieve-reservation.html (fees apply and are collected during the check-in process).

In order to purchase EarlyBird you will need your airline confirmation number. The airline confirmation number can be found on the reservation confirmation and/or travel itinerary which will be emailed to you once applied by the airline. Please note that if ANY changes are made to your reservation after EarlyBird is purchased, the airline confirmation number will change & drop EarlyBird off the record and will need to be re-purchased. If passengers that have purchased EarlyBird run into problems checking in online with their airline confirmation provided, please contact Funjet Vacations.

Q: Does Southwest Airlines offer seat assignments? Will the traveler be able to check-in online for these flights?

A: No, Southwest Airlines does not offer seat assignments but does assign a boarding position. If Early Bird Check-In® is not purchased, traveler can receive assigned boarding position 24 hours prior to his/her scheduled departure via www.southwest.com or mobile site/apps, though he/she will not receive an actual boarding pass until check-in at the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter or kiosk upon arrival at the airport and the passport is verified.

Please note when checking in online at southwest.com (whether passengers have purchased EarlyBird or are checking in 24 hours prior to the flight), the following information is required:

·  Passport Number,

·  Passport Issuing Country,

·  Passport Expiration Date,

·  Country of Residence/Citizenship

·  Emergency Contact name and phone number

Q: What is the Family Boarding Policy?

If you have more specific inquiries regarding travelling with small children or a customer requiring pre-boarding due to a disability, please visit https://www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/faqs.html for the most up to date policies from the airline.

Q: What is the Health/Disability Boarding Policy?

A: If a customer has a disability and requires preboarding to accommodate a specific seating need, assistance in boarding the aircraft or stowing an assistive device, the customer should request a Preboarding Document from a Southwest Airlines customer service agent at the departure gate. The Preboarding Document serves as notification to the boarding agent that the customer has a need to preboard. Please be advised that a customer who preboards due to a health/disability issue may not occupy an exit seat. Customers with disabilities who have any other special needs related to boarding should speak with a Southwest Airlines customer service agent at the departure gate.

Q: Do the travelers earn Rapid Rewards® Points on Southwest Airlines Value Flights and Scheduled (Pub) flights?

A: Yes. Each value flight will earn 1,200 points per direction (or 2,400 for roundtrip flight). The scheduled air flights will accrue miles based on the normal airline calculation.

Q: How can a traveler’s Rapid Rewards® account number be added?

A: When booking the flight, you can add the traveler’s Rapid Rewards® number in the Frequent Flyer section of passenger information.

To add after a booking has been made, the traveler can login to his/her Rapid Rewards® account and follow instructions on the website, add their Rapid Reward account during the online check in process prior to departure, or can provide their Rapid Rewards number upon check in at the airport.

The airline confirmation (PNR) number is required to add Rapid Rewards points to traveler record.

Q: Will there be any changes to Funjet Vacations policies and/or penalties when selling the Funjet Vacations Southwest Airlines value flights or scheduled air (pub) flights?

A: For value flights no, all policies follow the normal value flight ones. For scheduled air flights Southwest Airlines will ONLY have a hold till 11:55pm the same day the booking is made.

Q: Will the Southwest Airlines service include business class cabin with 2x2 seating options on value flights?

A: Business class seating will not be available on value flights operated as Southwest Airlines.

Q: Will Funjet Vacations offer business select seats as Southwest Airlines published air?

A: Business select fares will be available, which will provide additional benefits including early boarding and a complimentary Premium Drink Coupon. On Southwest flights, all seats are part of the same cabin so there is no separate “business class” section.

Q: Does Funjet Vacations offer Southwest Airlines Domestic scheduled (pub) flights?

A: Yes! Funjet Vacations does offer domestic flights as part of vacation packages, however the pricing and availability is sourced differently than International. Therefore the pricing and availability may not have the same consistency as International.
