Used to + infinitive

Something used to happen = something happened regularly in the past but no longer happens.

We also use used to… for something that was true but is no true any more.

Ex:
- Did she used to eat a lot of meat?
- He didn´t use to like eating vegetables.
- He used to be a great meat eater until he started dating a vegan.

Be used to + ing

I´m used to something = it is not new or strange for me, I´m accustomed to doing something.

Ex:
- I´m used to eat vegetables every day

Get used to + ing

The expression get used to means become accustomed to (doing) something.

Ex:
- When I moved to London, I got used to driving on the left.

We can use the expressions be used to/get used to in different tenses or with modal verbs.

Ex:
- I can get used to eating veggies only

Note: After be/get used to you cannot use the infinitive, because to is a preposition, not a part of the infinitive.
