· In what ways does the play present the issue of the generation gaps within the Younger family?

· Compare and contrast George Murchison and Asagai by discussing which of these suitors is more "right" for Beneatha and why.

· Explore Hansberry's use of symbolism in Raisin in the Sun. This may include not only the text of the play, but also the introductory poem by Langston Hughes.

· Walter hurts his entire family when he gives all the money that was entrusted to him to Willy Harris. Does he redeem himself when he rejects the money from the Clybourne Park Improvement Association? How? If not, why not?

· Even though Walter Sr. never appears in the play, he is an important character. Discuss his significance.

· What sort of statement(s) does Hansberry seem to be making about race? Support your answer(s) by discussing events/characters from the play.
