Scale drawings are used by architects, construction workers, and by many people in their everyday lives. Scale drawings are similar to the real life object therefore they utilize a scale factor or similarity ratio in their creation. Your assignment is to create a scale drawing of all the rooms on one floor of the place you live. The floor that you select must contain at least three rooms, but you need to draw all the rooms on the floor you select. You will be provided with graph paper to help you with your drawing.
Requirements:
1. One entire floor drawn to scale. . The floor that you select must contain at least three rooms
2. Measure the actual dimensions of your rooms, including closets.
3. List these actual measurements on a separate sheet of paper.
4. Convert these measurements to scale measurements using the scale factor of 1 foot = 1 block on the graph paper. For example, if one of your rooms has a measurement of 8 ½ feet by 12 feet, then the scale drawing would be 8 ½ blocks by 12 blocks.
5. Only the rooms and closets need to be drawn to scale.
6. Once your scale drawing is completed, decorate your room by drawing furniture and other items. These items do not need to be drawn to scale.
