Donate Life America has created the Donate Life Champion award to recognize select figures from the athletic community who have provided significant support for organ, eye and tissue donation.
Donate Life Champions can be nationally recognized figures or local athletes that inspire others to become a “FanForLife.” Sports have an amazing capacity to connect and inspire us. Whether you are a serious fan or a casual observer, in our culture figures in the athletic community have an amazing capacity to use their influence to educate others. Our hope with the Donate Life Champion Awards is to utilize that capacity to connect and inspire thousands of sports fans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors in (insert your state) and across the country.
We urge all of you to help us share our Champion’s inspiring story via social media by Tweeting and posting Facebook messages about our (insert your state) winner! As I call winner(s) forward this evening, you are encouraged to take pictures on your smart phones and post to Twitter and Facebook. And as we share their story over the next few weeks, please re-post and re-tweet from our pages!
More than 50 winners – from nationally recognized athletes, to professional league teams, to coaches and local athletes – are being awarded nationwide over the next few weeks.
