As I contemplate the number 8, I become aware that it is the path of all evolutionary cycles. Mary said that the 8's connect man with the Creator.
As above so below, as below so above; connector of heaven above to earth below.
If 8's are locked, we are stagnant, out of touch with our creativity, unable to receive. We feel powerless to accomplish what motivates us because energy cannot flow through the pelvic girdle.
8's in harmony will thus harmonize energy flowing through the pelvic girdle and thus will aid reproductive problems, as well as assimilation / elimination functions, and blood disharmonies. That harmony will also support our physical strength, which is in the sacrum area. Blocked 8's can result in rigidity and stubbornness, leading us to resist forward movement. Hence, the attitude of fear may become part of our being-ness.
8 is the cosmic number of vitality and unusual power. Is the highest the highest feminine number. It is magic splendor, cosmic freedom. It is perfect intelligence, reminding us that the lowest form off spirit is matter and the highest form of matter is spirit. We need never know fear.
The relationship of the 8's to 6th depth, 3rd depth, and 4th depth becomes more obvious. Through the relationship of the 8's to the Mediator and the Supervisor flow, we see its function as,
· As well as a helper for the energy of the toe flows (Kidney, Liver, Spleen).
· As a special helper for muscles and knees,
· Abdominal distension.
· Urinary incontinence.
· Fear.

The sacred teachings of mankind, inclusive of all epochs and cultures, have espoused a common Truth: as above, so below. The number eight (8) symbolizes this awareness. In the study of Jin Shin Jyutsu, SEL 8 represents and demonstrates this Action of Creation. The depiction of 8 as two circles, one above the other, illustrates this understanding. In symbology, the circle refers to Spirit; and in the 8 the message is: Spirit above, Spirit below.
· The role of 8 in freeing the hipline, where SEL 15 lives, supports the circulation of the Deep Flows ( 4th Depth Kidney and Bladder and 5th Depth Heart and Small Intestine Function Energy. The circulation patterns of the Deep Flows, who are responsible for building the endodermal layer of the body, all converge within the area of SEL15.
· Another attribute of 8 is magic, which may be one word best describing the activity 4th Depth is also Mercury- ruled and works with 8 to maintain balance between man's material and spiritual bodies.
Safety Energy Lock 1
The Prime Mover, the leader of all the locks is situated on the inside of each knee, right at the bulge where the shinbone & thigh connect. Jiro Murai said that when he ascertained the location for SEL 1 then all the other locks fell into place.
Life is movement without which we stagnate & SEL 1 is the place from which all activity, all movement originates. We have to move the knee in order to move, otherwise we would fall down.
It is for all exhaling needs of the body (1 helps everything to go down). It is essential that it is open. It is the movement of Heaven into Earth – the initiation of Spirit into matter.
As the General Practitioner SEL 1 brings all above-waist “stucks” down, connecting the extreme heights with the extreme depths, harmonising from head to toe. By holding the 1s for 1 hour each day for 1 year everything will be harmonised.
It helps all organs that move things – e.g. lung moves air, heart moves blood and liver moves toxins down and out.

SAFETY ENERGY LOCK 2
Safety Energy Lock 2 came into the Universe representing Wisdom or Illuminating Intelligence - seeing through the Creator’s Eyes.
When SEL 2 is open we reconnect with the original wisdom and purpose for living. Plato: “Wisdom is living in accord with nature” not dominating it. It is the Life Force for All Creatures giving us free will and the ability to see duality, coming from the oneness into the two purposes, the two sides of the coin, and the two aspects of wholeness.
SEL 1 being the Exhale, SEL 2 becomes the Inhale. One cannot exist without the other and so form a relationship, interdependence. If SEL 2 is blocked not enough life force will enter our body therefore it’s very important for healing as it literally brings the INHALE – In-spiration – (to receive , all things, anything) into the body. What ever you wish to receive give yourself a 2# and you will receive the energy of what you desire and it is energy that feeds us.
SEL 2 is all about relationships on every level, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, past, present and future.
· Physically helps as it is also known as the Body Alignment Specialist, the Orthopaedic Specialist or Chiropractor. SEL 2 helps the total body assisting energy to ascend the back, in pulling energy up from the legs. SEL 2 helps us to Inhale and to maintain skeletal balance.
· Mentally / emotionally important in terms of what we are willing to allow ourselves to have. “I don’t deserve …..” so it’s about our self perception and how we can love ourselves through our SEL 2’s.
· Spiritually we are looking at growth and expansion. We are ultimately receiving this abundant breath so that we can have the ability to become who we were born to be.
SEL 2 is situated on the top of the hip bone of the pelvis in the lower back, in the 1st Depth, the depth of Sustenance.

A markedly greater balance between receiving and giving in my life, allowing me to feel complete.
Safety Energy Lock 22 situated at the neck under the collarbone, came into existense meaning complete, It is, 3rd Depth which is about action and movement and one the 3rd Depth mottoes is thoughts become words and words become deeds (an example of energy becoming more dense, gathering into manifestation)
Numerology 22 is a 4-manifestation, 22 represents amplified 2’s meaning relationship on a higher level, but duality of polarities also –like the ebb and flow movement”the Dance of the Universe” i.e. the Pulse of perfect rhythm. This Universal pulse of rhythm is gathering and dispersing. It is the action of the law of the five elements.
All phenomena in the macro cosmos as well as in the micro cosmos (our body for example) are going through the phases of the five elements, where energy disperses into a subtle form of energy; gathering into dense forms of energy again.
Harmonizer of all elements blood essence, carried to all parts of the body, it is all –inclusive. Also known as the railway station, it signifies the 144,000 tribes (Bible) coming together there to rest for a while and then sent out on their journey to various parts of the body.
· When my 22’s are clear I can think clearly and objectively and adapt to all new situations including environment and climate, “Go with the Flow”.
· Sitting holding my 22’s I can feel all that I am, thoughts, words and deeds, past, present and future. As I become the breath, I can harmonise all that I am, without emotional attachment, judgement, labelling or criticism.
Susan Brooks: As the final SEL in the third depth the source of balance descending in Native American healing tradition the 22 area is considered to be the most sacred area of the body as it represents the amalgamation of the four elements.
When the SELS 11 and 22 are clear, one cannot have any virus.. Hold 22’s and exhale you can clear all the elements, all the functions.
(By placing one hand on the fullness of 22, and the other hand on the opp, 23 the 22 area decompresses)
Wide 22’s indicate a worrier; emotional stress can be shoulder. Simply crossing the hands and placing them on the 22’s assists in dissipating fear s and phobias.

We “see” from our 14’s. 14 is our lifestyle-equilibrium (balance between heaven and man) It’s where the “me will “ can take charge. E.g. I want more. Always looking for more to satisfy us, so the waistline gets bigger and bigger till heaven and earth are parted.
14 is where we bring understanding into our world, 14 helps us with brain function, clarity of thought and logic, it is also the place we develop brain disharmony and (that is why 14 is good for ADD autism etc which is the inability to assimilate the outside world
It is the Story of Man, the Governor of Self, the Maintainer of Sustenance, “My Will Not Thy Will.” In its unbalanced state.
