PROGRAM INFORMATION

Georgia Student Finance Commission Ben Meadows
Topics covered will include the HOPE Scholarship, HOPE Grant, a brief overview of the FAFSA,
and general information on completing financial aid forms for college.
College Representative Erin Chadwick
Topics covered will include financial aid processes and procedures from the college point of
view, including the Student Aid Report, Net Price Calculators, how institutional aid is awarded (competitive, need-blind, etc), general timelines and deadlines in the financial aid process, and best practices for families looking for financial aid from colleges.
Roswell High School Counselors Amy Short and Kara Mills
Topics covered will include the local scholarship process that takes place in spring and how this information can be accessed both online and through the College and Career Center. General information about scholarship searching and other online resources will be provided.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund- Paying for College Morgan Havig
Location: Media Center, will run concurrently with program in auditorium
This session will provide information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) including how to complete the form and how colleges use that information for awarding financial aid. Information will be provided concerning the college admissions and financial aid process and information on college planning for undocumented students will be covered. This session will be presented in Spanish.
